Today I found the only local Hydro shop about twenty minutes away from me. What a place of heaven!!!!!:o I found everything i needed, I got foxfarm soil, a germ tray with plastic dome, a pack of 98 rockwool cubes, PH tester, small bag of propagation plugs, a tub of oxycal for soil oxygenation, a bottle of kickstart for root and veggy growth, and a free bottle of mother earth super tea.

Anyone have any suggestions for how to properly add this stuff without messing up?

Also, my PH is at 7.0 with the water i use for every watering, is this too high? also, how do i adjust with a small budget?

and yeah, lower you're ph to around 5.7 for hydro i believe
I'm actually using soil to grow, I just got the rockwool cubes to start the clones and babies in. I also got the propagation plugs to try out, and see which works better.:leaf:

Set the new spot up today, and got a 150 watt HPS for the cabinet.

How high should I keep the HPS from my babies so they won't get hurt or burnt?:fire:

you might be able to even get closer with a 150 watt, im not sure what kind of heat those things give off but if you have good ventilation you might even go as close as 8 inches. those extra 4 inches would do a world of lumens.

Just got all the lights up today and moved the little ones there. I have the HPS at about 12" above the plants, but i think it is too far. I put my hand over the plants and it felt warm but it looks too far away?

OK, here is the new spot i got to grow in, along with pics. of the new lights added, and fans.

I added the mylar, put in the 150 watt HPS, and will have a total of 12 100 watt equivalent CFL's. I have four plants that are 3 weeks in veg, and 7 that are still under the dirt.

In the pics, the cabinet with the four big plants is the grow room, that will be the flower room also. Later i will make this the mother room, and switch all cloning and vegging to the shelves near the storage shelves.

Then the two deep bay shelves with the red cups in them will be the flower section, with a frame built for chicken wire to be added for a weaving method, i believe this is screen of green, or sea of green.

This is my plans anyway, and I hope it all works out. I am gettiing some MEtal halide for future vegging with CFL's, and getting another HPS for future flowering.

Any opinions on all this, please let me know. Oh, my temps in the new spot are perfect......75 degrees farenheit and 65% humidity. I have a red party light in the room for when the lights are out, if i have to go in.

Take a look and let me know what ya' think, I need all the help I can get!!!!kiss-ass
