Do your plants look ok? if they do, ignore run-off readings....thats my best advice....don't bother with them unless there's something majorly wrong with your plantsHey guys I’m feeding my plants at 1.8ec and I’m gettin 2.2-2.5 run offs is that normal ? Growing in coco

I’m taking on your advice I’ve been having issues since I tried to match runoff to what I’m putting inI just don't get all this testing of runoff. I've been growing for decades and have never bothered checking runoff. I focus on what I'm feeding. I never overfeed and never put too much stuff on my plants. If you are doing things correctly and the plants are healthy then what is the purpose of checking runoff?
There have been posts on here of people that had healthy plants that decided to check their runoff and decided the results didn't match the numbers they thought they should be at so they flushed to lower the EC or dumped high or low pH solution through to get the runoff to match what they thought it should be. They went from healthy plants to plants having issues.
Research plant nutrition and plant physiology and you'll know what to feed, when to feed, and how much to feed. That will be more beneficial than measuring runoff.
