just finished planting my germinated seeds into my new stealth homemade dresser. I picked up this old dresser at a local salvation army for $20. Brought it home and made it into my own little grow room. the dimensions on it after construction are 16" deep x 27" high x 38" long. To build this i just took out all the drawers, knocked out all the sides of them. Perminatly installed the bottom shelf face so it can not be removed, but it looks like its on. Next i made the top and middle drawer all one piece. Made my own little hinges with nails to hold the middle drawer in place. Then i attaced the top drawer to it with some hinges. Now to get into my dresser all i do is fold down the top drawer, reach inside and unlach my nails and take off the entire top and middle drawer. I sealed it all off with some Great Stuff insulation spray to make it light proof. Today i planted my 9 germinated seeds. One is a strain of Kush, 5 others are Diesel Berry, and three others are unknowns that i have saved out of good sacks for a while. I started them in regular Scotts potting soil in Solo pary cups. I made small slits in the bottom of the cups so they will drain if nessacary. For lighting i have a 65watt fluroescent flood light that i got from home depot for $50. The box says it puts out 6,825 lumnes, so i think this light should be good enough for this small of a room. i have a small desk clamp fan in the dresser right now untill i get a little more money to put in intake/exaust fans. Other than that, im really looking for some fee back. hopefully im doing everything right. Ive been loking into the scrog method for this small little area. Im really trying to squeeze in 4 plants, but as or right now it looks like its just gunna be 3. let me know what you think. pics are comming very soon.
