Hey everyone just chopped my hulk berry and dried it for about 6 days. Got it all trimmed after the dry and jarred it. All hygrometers are hitting the 50 mark.. did I over dry? Should I add a boveda 62 8g pack to each jar to bring it up for the curing process ?

Thanks in advance! 20201123_234457.jpg20201123_234615.jpg

Thanks for the reply homie. So you think adding the boveda to raise them up during curing is pointless at this time yeah ?

I checked again today they're hovering around 53/54% RH so almost at that sweet spot.

Is curing not really happening at this stage because I went too dry? The bud smells great really good aroma and has some moisture to it.

the smell is evaporating terpenes, most evap at 70+ degrees

you should seal for 24 hrs and check RH sometimes they will sweat, if no rise above 58 after 24hrs then you over shot, try to store for 10-14 days between 58-65

store in dark at 68 degrees

I'd add the packs but not help a cure. You are beyond that.

I'd add them to rehydrate just a bit. A couple more ticks lower and that bud becomes crumbly.

I think you dried it out a bit fast mate. Normally it takes me 3 weeks to dry out my weed and then the humidity in the jar should be about 60% so i believe

Thanks for all the replies really appreciate it !

The drying for me is tricky because I am in a condo with limited space so I had to work with what I had but its really dry in here usually runs at like 38% humidity so I ran a humidifier and indirect fan but I think it just dried too fast. Using a bathroom in a condo isn't ideal lol.20201118_072926.jpg

I guess I fucked the cure up which sucks but what can I do. Ill continue to burp daily and maybe toss a boveda in there. This is only my second grow so I am learning and adapting as I go :). Next year I think I will do an indoor because outdoor in a condo balcony is very tough. Not enough sun near the end of the year. This plant never fully finished but it just got too cold to risk eventually had to chop when it went to -3c.

Hopefully it smokes good !

I wouldnt have been running that indirect fan. I have RH around 40 and i just dry in the tent with it all closed up except the doors cracked (like unzipped 2-3 feet so there is just a little crack on each wall). No fans or anything.
