House and Senate version in August 2020:

the liability portion is part of the big hold up in addition to short changing us..we get a pandemic that our government doesn't take care of; we lose our jobs; no food; no unemployment since August.
And the Republicans still have not put up anything for a vote in the senate. This is not on the Democrats. Mitch and Trump are running the show.

Ill believe the Republicans are going to do something when they quit stuffing Trump's trolls into senate approved jobs and pass something for the people.

So you believe in fairy tales lol, the GOP don't give a shit about working people, if you're not rich you ain't shit to them.

Here's the big news from Canada! We have an unsolved mystery, but I figure the squirrels will learn eventually, no harm done, all the real nuts have been gathered long ago in Canada.

It has to do with clearing my mind, I've been reading mindfulness by Joseph Goldstein and it's been inspiring me, he is a western master who went east over 40 years ago, came back, is most likely liberated IMHO, he writes very well in English and this work is a modern interpretation of the Tipiṭaka ("three baskets"), the most ancient written Buddhist works and closet to the original teachings of the Buddha. I've been practicing for over an hour a day and I'm starting to go into the "bag" again, mellowing out. The more ya practice the more you have remorse for fucking up and causing suffering, it's not a rule or commandment, just sound advice to reduce your own suffering as your mind becomes more sensitive to it's internal processes. If you look into this you will find lists of things, these are not rules, they are guides to peace and happiness, you discover their truth for yourself.
I get all of that. I meditate. I disassociate.
When you are in a place that’s not a good place to be, one needs to look for those distractions that take you somewhere else. Why I LOVED acid so much I reckon.
I don’t need that now. I can do most of it to myself without a dose.
I color too :eyesmoke:

That is the natural thing to do, distract oneself, nothing wrong with it either, people deal with pain and suffering in much the same way. I turn away from unpleasant experiences, and can't watch Trump (don't want too) and couldn't watch the slow motion murder of George Floyd without suffering greatly and unnecessarily. I also don't stick pins in myself or hold my hand over an open flame for shits and giggles. I don't need to be shocked into a realization of right and wrong, I already know the difference.

I never cared for acid that much and used to grow magic mushrooms in my teens and 20s, but you couldn't pay me enough do that stuff these days, but I too have my price...

when i looked into going legal, the fines are minuscule compared to the fees and regulation's required to get a Cali license. Its like they engineered it for black market. I love this county.....
Ditto for Canada, you can mail it here nationally and to avoid local trouble many illegal dispensaries are online. You can only grow 4 for recreational, but nobody is checking and nobody want's to enforce the law because it will be challenged and thrown out. The 4 plant limit is for residences, but people have rights and two adults or more sharing a residence are being discriminated against. Likewise for the cannabis while driving laws, they must prove impairment scientifically and with an experienced pot smoker that is nearly impossible, a novice not so much. Thousands of well off old farts have challenged DUI's over decades with millions of dollars and there is solid science proving impairment, not so much for cannabis, law must be based in established fact, driving after having a puff has to be proven to cause impairment too. The standards they are using in Canada will not withstand a constitutional challenge, neither will the 4 plant limit per household. Pot is decriminalized now and that changes everything, the constitution will apply as with other things.

I know people crazy enough they are doing it. It’s that important to them for the country
Only republicans are sleazy enough, it takes a certain lack of character and every one who voted for Trump is a moral failure as well as a fool. One side completely lacks character and personal integrity, it's not just the politicians either, but almost half the voters.

I had a friend tell me that NJ legalized but you can’t do home grown. It’s really mind Boggling . It’s like when I was about to enter a room the other day and before I got up to the door I heard a door bell go off inside the room. Lol. So what would they do if they caught you growing in a legal state?
If it is not a criminal offense they have a great deal of difficulty obtaining a search warrant in Canada, we have medical grows too. Most of the time when it is decriminalized the police lose interest, besides now that it's not a crime people can be more open about protesting and lobbying, it's easier to adjust policy. The heavy lift was decriminalization and legalization, the courts are open for challenges now, like other laws. English common law works the same, in Canada and the USA, both systems are founded on it.

I'm happy, but also sorta sad.
I liked the rebel attitude of growing guerrilla gardens against the law, telling the establishment to fuck off.
It was satisfying in a primal way.
Now what to do?
Cannabis consumption sanctified by the government?
Somehow I think when pot goes totally legal, & that is surely inevitable it seems, the simple enjoyment of filling the pipe/rolling the joint will never be the same.
I liked being an outlaw :)
Given the “4” plants we’re “allowed” to grow I’ll always be an outlaw just not on the scale I used to be ;). They were the good ole days lol.

Yea, in a very sad fucked up way, they actually were "the good ole days" compared to today in the Age of COVID-19/Trump
It was the fucking Hippies in 1966 that started, no fucking FORCED the Establishment (yea, we forced them :)) to acknowledge that climate change was a reality, that needless, endless wars are futile & that the rights of each individual are paramount.
No more hiding in the closet or being a good boy/girl, we wouldn't heedleesly buy into the bull shit anymore.
Yea, we the motherfucking pot smoking/acid dropping Hippies changed the pattern of Mankind :)
Pretty cool, eh? :)

This is serious Canadian news. My neighbour here in Barrhaven has had several lights stolen by these critters. I could be next, and I need to take proactive action against this serious criminal activity. It's the burbs, so I can't shoot them for it. Any suggestions?
