politics in america: you're either with us or against us. there is no in between.

The country is polarized for a reason, human rights for African Americans, same reason as the last civil war, this one is a cold civil war. Liberalism is a historic process that leads to equal human rights for all and responsible government, it is the only way for democratic multicultural societies to exist in the modern world, through constitutions that protect the minorities from the majorities and the rule of law. There appears to be no middle ground because there is none, don't you support equal human rights? Democratic processes? The constitution?

Here's a question for you: what does Trump and those who support him stand for? What was the republican election platform for 2020?

I dont know, because I can't speak for those people. I am not a registered republican or democrat. I am not familiar with the democratic or republican party. The only thing I paid attention to are his tweets, wall memes, and rage comments on facebook.

My opinion is that we can't have someone in office that is anti science, anti medicine, and doesn't listen to any professionals or advisers and only believes what he wants to believe. We can't have someone constantly firing advisers. We can't have someone who is taking advantage of our overworked healthcare workers and say its ok to live a normal life. My opinion about him is that he cares more about the trump brand than anything else and is willing to do anything within his power to get what he wants. Im being careful of answering questions, because i dont want to be labeled as left or right. i am a centrist who didn't vote, and a strong believer in science and medicine. also lolz @ people thinking my profile picture is actually me.

Sometimes I ask people if they voted, then they say yes. I ask them if they know who their senators are and if they know the representative of their district, and what district they are in. most of those people can't even mention a name. And I'm supposed to be a part of this system where people base their vote on emotion and not doing actual checks of who their congressmen are and what they are doing? no thanks.

Like I said, if American democracy goes down the tubes were are fucked in Canada. I'm a liberal, that's transnational, liberals support the constitution and the rule of law, that's what a liberal is, someone who supports liberty. Christ knows America spent enough blood and treasure spreading the idea around and fighting for it, Canada did too. Our country's fates are inextricably linked, I'm a Canadian patriot and I'm here to support American patriots and fellow liberals. Liberalism is not about left or right, it's about freedom, funny how many Americans think it's something else? I wonder why it became a curse word on the right? Perhaps to kill an idea you change the meaning of the word liberty.

Maybe it was a bunch of organized online group from reddit and facebook groups that applied to be poll watchers to steal the election. If our political system is so good, then how did we let this happen? States County Clerks are hiring people from organized groups to steal votes, poll workers who have no training on what to do, people with low technical and organizational skills, voting machines that are being broken every hour, harassment in the work environment. America's system is flawed. Government training is poor. Poll workers dont want speak out that someone is doing something wrong, because they know their lives can be ruined if it is on social media. Our system is based on fraud and human error. Even if we did electronic voting, there are still ways to steal an election. So what can we do? What policies and laws have to change?
