Best way to train a short strain?

Hey just wondering what the best way to train a short strain. Ive normally done sativas that stretch 24”+ and now i ran into a purple haze that after stretch grew 6”. So i had mainlined it with 4 colas but i didnt expect the short growth so what i have now is 14x14” canopy top and 6” jungle like canopy... like i could place a glass of water on it thick. Airflow is gonna be a problem im sure as its just starting week 5 so going forward how should i veg a new short strain, any advice as mainlining doesnt seem to be the right answer.

Ok so just let go seed to flower. Will i lose quantity ive never done a straight seed to flower without manifolding or hst so im up for as long as returns arnt massively deminished.

I think Renfo is just saying to let it grow instead of doing any training.

Manifolding is the best way to get a short plant to deliver lots of good quality bud sites. But you can manifold a plant to something larger than a 14" canopy. I'll manifold to about 22" before I let them grow upward in preparation for the SCROG net.

I want to try manifold for my next grow. I have a short tent.

Ya i always manifold but the plants grow really tall still its strain dependant my amnesia just stretched 24”+ its a 8 cola manifold. My problem is if it doesnt stretch then it just turns into a table top of of thick solid bud i have a 7+’ grow box so i have the height just need to get lots of bud off a short growing strain. I think you should grow purple haze if you want a low stretch strain mine stretched 6” tops lol.

Screw all that training shit, veg em, single top em at the 5th node, spread em out, twist the main stem to give all the tops direct light, lollipop em, then flip em!

Ok off a decent strain how many oz u get per plant that way? Im deff not against new methods just dont want 2 ounces of weed off a plant is all im worried about.

I have never done it before, it will be my third grow..... I don't even think I should count my first grow..... LOL..... I did is so half assed backwards..... but, did get 2 oz off the one plant.... 18 grams from the other.... it was an auto bloom I did with the other plant.... so the 12 on 12 off stunted it.....

Manifolding is really easy heres one i just trimmed up yesterday final cut. As soon as i read up on it thats the only way ive done it from day 1.

Ya nice looking trees i like the shape actually thats the one thing i hate about the manifold the shape its practical but ugly lol.

Its far easier to top ,yeah their not perfectly symmetrical but after a while I stopped caring

Renfro is right. I had a little Grape Ape mommy that produced the most incredible bud, but it had the worst yields I've ever seen. It's clones were always the smallest in the room, they took forever to get to a decent size. Topping them only reduced yields significantly. They always finished so small it was hardly worth even bending over the main cola-I just had to boost the little things way up to the lights on milk crates and such. Some strains really need no training-and I'm a huge fan of mainlining.
