Defoliate? Autoflower (day 49)

Hmmm the plant doesn't look anywhere near day 49 (in bloom) or that it may be finished in ~2 weeks. Small buds and very leafy, reeks of reveg but doesn't really look like it, but it's strange that you have 3-bladed fanleaves coming out of the topbuds, when it should just be 1 bladed sugarleaves.

What kind of light-regime you run and can you rule out any light leaks?

So should I leave it and keep it going or defoliate ? I think I’m going to leave the light cycle as is. I have a couple seedling at 18/6 in the same tent and don’t want to stress them out

personaly, i would leave the leafes on the plant, it needs them to photosynthasize and produce energy for the whole plant, and you deff need well she deff needs all the help she can get at this late stage.
are you shure about light leek, have you been in the tent when fully closed upto check it, thats the usual test, im assuming you have a tent from the looks of the mylar or silvered backdrop tpo one of the plants in your photos. its not unherd of for there to be dodgy stitching around the sewn parts or from the zip if it hasnt got a light proof second layer of material over the zipper

oh yes, you wont stress them out if you turn the lighting up to 24hrs lighting, in fact they will love it and grow more dencely

I don’t think there is a light leek. It’s in an a tent within a area with no windows. If I turn the light off in the room I’m in it’s pitch black and the door doesn’t open unless the tent light are on

I’m assuming you are talking about light coming into the tent during the dark period vs. light escaping from the tent?
forget about the lightleak, it's an auto... I overlooked that in the threat title the first time I've been posting....

it's perhaps a bad genetic that doesn't bud out properly... I have a feeling auto's are generally much more weaker in genetics than regulars - too much crossing & incestuous breeding are calling their toll...

Problem is too many leaves stacked together will not result in more photosynthates because all the excessive leaves shade one another - and then there's only a fraction of the direct light/irradiance.

Here's an example thread for a failed auto genetic:

F*ck lol. I knew I shouldn’t of tried this auto. It was a freebie from my order and figured I would start that one then add in the photo plants when this one was a month from finishing. Now I’ve wasted a couple months time and money. SMH. I’m going to stick with feminized photo period going forward. Hopefully this one get me something I can tolerate smoking......

I know this is an old thread, but I'm thinking about popping some of these myself. How did it turn out? Anyone else ran these beans?
