I did the 1st full blown water test today and success! Had a few leaks but they were very minor and easily fixed. The pump configuration is probably going to be cleaned up and improved - but it certainly works. Even flow to each of the 93 sites.
The 75 gallon per day RO unit I installed is not performing well. The water pressure just isn't there....which is odd because the 1st RO unit I ran for years never had that problem. I think I need to upgrade to a 300 gallon per day and get a booster pump. Maybe the 75 will be fine with a booster...still chewing on it.
I've been spending all of my time over the last week working with DIY nutes. Doing test mixes and comparing the results to Hydrobuddy and basically just trying to wrap my head around all of it. I made great strides over the last 2 days and after wasting a lot of ingredients, I have a plan for this first round. I'm not going to go into chemistry nerd mode but if anyone wants to know, just ask and I'll obviously share.
Now that the water test and nutes test are close enough to being done, I feel like the big ticket items are out of the way and it's safe to start seeds! Expect to do that this week.
