Someone earlier in the thread had said to look for lights in the 6500 range, I dont know if that is in hertz or watts or what, but its somewhere in this thread. ALso, they had mentioned to look for the word 'daylight' on the package, so I assume this is a light that is supposed to mimic natural light in some way, maybe by spectrum? What you are trying to accomplish, or I am trying to accomplish, or anyone, for that matter, with artificial light and growing is mimicking the sun. The best way is to use metal halide or HPS lights, because they get closest to the spectrums of sunlight needed for growing (that's why there is sometimes a yellow tinge to peoples grow room pics, cause the light is yellow, not 'white'). I think flourescents get close too, if you want to use an inexpensive smaller set-up, which is perfect for 1 plant. You said earlier someone was going to help you pay for a light, so, if thats the case, try and spring for that 150, as that will be great for a few little plants, not to high, but high enough to get some decent buds, maybe an ounce of some really good smoke, if you are lucky... You really want a 400W light if you want a decent closet setup though, but, Im getting off subject. FLourescents are the long lights that are usually in your kitchen, or at fast food restaraunts... They also are the new little twisty bulbs that are more expensive than the regular bulbs, but, I think you knew that. Just find someone on here that uses them, and see what kind of setup they use, and try to set yours up accordingly. Light is the most important thing for your plant when growing indoors... After securing the light source, then its concentrating on temperature... 60-80 degrees F, with 75 being ideal. Even 70 is good, and then, once that is taken care of, you can work on adding nuted and stuff like that... CO2, etc. Hope some of this BS helps and Im not just confusing you more or something...
