Setup question

The barn (installed by previous owner) has an insulated men's bathroom (and women's bathroom) that has electricity and running water.

I was wondering how many plants (autofem) could I grow with a Spider Farm SF 4000.
Other than maybe getting a 2nd smaller grow light (in the future) for seedlings, I'm keeping my expenses low outside the initial startup. I'd be surprised if I needed a 2nd light anyway.

It would be very easy to make the room solid dark all day, in the future, but only after I get a feel for the basics.


I thought starting with autos would be good for someone with no experience.

I figure it would be best to just get a decent grow light at the start of my adventure.

If I knew that, it would have been a wasteof time to ask the question in the first place.

Actually: can I get 4 plants to maturity with the Spider Farm SF -4000?

I think 4 plants to maturity would be more than adaquete for my needs.
I did say I'm planning on using autos, so vegging is irrelevant.

Yield is more a matter of canopy area and lighting. The number of plants that you fill that space with is more a matter of veg time. More veg = less plants & bigger plants.

I just saw the part about auto's. You have no control over when they start flowering so you better not do more than 4. Even then they could outgrow your space.

The barn was used for weddings, and other gatherings like company picnics, and could host several hundred people. The kitchen is huge, but the expensive commercial appliances were sold off before I got the place.

Getting back to the men's room... the toilet stalls are walled off like a single room...each, and much larger than a normal handicap stall. More due to having the barn addition being made the same length as the barn, so the bathrooms are huge: 2 toilets, 2 urinals in the men's room, 2 showers, and 3 sinks.

One toilet stall is easily large enough for the Spider Farm SF-4000.

I was talking to my neighbor a few months ago about the farm and he casually mentioned that the addition was fully insulated.

The previous owner died several years ago, and it was sold off by the relatives.

I was going to start with auto's until I get more experience. I don't need a lot of weed anyway, so I might only do one or two grows/years with a single light. Depending on how much I get from autos, I might just keep using autos. I really don't want to have more than a few plants at a time anyway.

1 auto, grown well, will easily produce 4+ oz. fyi
