Starting a new journal collecting all my work. It's been a while since I started my last journal and that one is sort of done.

Aeroponics system info:

System is running 12V and 24V.
UPS system for about 6.5 hours power reserve
110 psi HPA system.
Arduino based controller (just simple delay timers). 3 sek on 3 min off.
Seaflo Pumps (soon to be replaced with Aquatec 8852's).
Return pump is Seaflo.
32 gallon reservoir.
Aquarium heater (No chiller needed here)
177 micron pressure washer filter.
10" 1 micron filter (not installed yet).
177 micron filter before water return to tank
24V DC solenoid valves for the chambers
24V 120w DC transformer
24V 100w AC transformer (for the soon to be installed Aquatec 8852)
Am Mist 3(0.03 inch 300 micron) 3x spray heads per chamber.
Pressure gauge for regulating and setting pressure.
10 gallon root chambers with a bucket in a bucket with the lower one acting as return reservoir collecting runoff.
Filter bags for supporting the roots and creating a water buffer with water droplets. Well developed plants can survive on their own for hours just with this buffer and water in the bottom of the buckets.

Two flower tents. One with 400w MH and 400-600w HPS and the other one has 315 CMH and 600w HPS. Soon going to setup a new veg tent, that one will probable be running 400w HPS. I have so much 400w HPS stock it's ridiculous. Mostly analogs, using a Lumatek digital for taking photos.

Sleeping DWC bitches. Last run in a while. Flipped a couple of days ago. Hifi 4G to the left and StrawberryAkeil to the right. StrawberryAkeil out angling Hifi 4G lol.

Started two new mom's so far. Need to do more work with building more root chambers so I'm able to expand more.

Strains:

StrawberryAkeil - Serious Seeds
Hifi 4G - Dutch Passion
Skunk #1 - early 90's pheno.

Seeds to start in order of importance:

Kali Mist
G39
Ms.Universe
Serious Kush
AK47

Feel free to comment and feel free to ask any questions. Cheers!

wow this is impressive my friend! I am new to this forum but I’m building a very similar setup. My question for you is how did u make the return pump operate ? I guess I’m trying to understand when it turns on and how it knows when to turn on , my guess is maybe having it return maybe a few times a day after water is built up and does that mean you have sitting water for any period of time ?

Thanks dude. It's just on a simple timer 1 minute on and 10 min off. When plants are big and well developed they almost drink all the nutrient solution being sprayed.

Ya I just purchased 3 of this aquatecs ,1 for closing ,1 for veg and 1 for bloom but I will end up getting 3 more just to have a backup for each
Wow how many plants are you planning on running? You can install 8 root chambers like mine with the Aquatec 8852.

I plan to have 8 chambers in total. 4 in flower and 4 in veg. Cheers!

Pump size comparison. Still need the pressure switch before I'm able to install it. I'll receive another pump, pressure switch and transformer next week.

AC to the left and DC to the right.

so my plan is to run 20 plants for every 1000watt light in bloom and I’m starting with 4 lights right now with room to double that, Veg room will have will be my nursery and veg stage using 4ft T5 clones and mothers will sit under a 300watt Marshydro Led light and finally a 600watt metal halide for the veg, it will be sea of green keeps the plants small essentially 1 week of veg after roots are built to my liking and then flipped 12/12 right away obviously after there trained and acclimated I’ll post pics soon just doing some final touches, on another note do u have any info I can read about that controller u have ? I don’t know anything about it and would like to learn

You need some basic electrical knowledge to wire everything and do soldering work. The code is just two delay timers. There's a lot of code examples on the net.

The Arduino boards share power and are wired to a 4 site relay board controlling the solenoid valves with 24V DC power on the first port and the return pump connected with 12V DC. I only use two of the ports on the board. The Arduino boards+relay board are just digitally controlled breakers.

I don't trust clip connectors, I solder mine firmly to solenoid valve. Yes it's harder to move everything around this way but I want to be able to spray and move the cables without worrying about losing a connection.

My profession is in electrical actually and I have been doodling with electronics and soldering since I was a little guy lol, I do have another question I ordered 110v direct line voltage solenoids do u not recommend using these?
It depends on your system design.12-24V is much safer to work with though. But whatever floats your boat really. You just need a working normally closed solenoid valve. Cheers!

Sprayed some TRIA @ 10ppm, Kelp/Humic blend 1.4g/G, Aminos (whey hydro isolate) and Polysorbate20/Tween20 pH 5.8.
Hope it will help keeping the height down.

Hifi 4G is really a keeper. I can tell you that this early on. I totally understand the whole GG#4 hype and I see her traits throughout. Pretty picky regarding wind and airflow, just like her relative mother.

She'll be a great producer if bud structure and everything else is in order. She almost take of like a pure sativa in flower, shooting roots like bowls of spaghetti's, lol.
Very sturdy lady, only minus is she's take a little longer to clone and developing roots than other varieties. But when she's developed roots she really take off.

StrawberryAkeil is the other way around. Really fast cloner and develops a lot of lateral root growth early in veg. She's a little picky when it comes to the sauce though, like her father Bubblegum she like a very light feed.

Hifi 4G Really like the sauce, need added nutrients everyday, reservoir size is small though at 5 gallon. Cheers!

Cotton Candy? Many laterals all the way down to the bottom. There's still a lot of room left. Can't wait for the new pump to arrive. I think the old one is having its last stroke. It's leaking and not holding full pressure but enough for the plants to survive. If I'm lucky I'll receive the new one this week. Cheers!

Bent/cropped Hifi 4G down to even out the canopy's. Really surprised by her crazy stretch. Vigorous lady.

Raised the light. StrawberryAkeil is very light sensitive, just like her father Bubblegum.IMG_20210114_160837194.jpg
Res change today, two days late. Didn't want to disturb Hifi 4G more than necessary after bending and breaking all her tops.

Had some electrical issues with the Arduino controller. It seems to just been a earthing issue. Found one bad solder joint, resoldered and now it operational again.

I'm impressed that the plants haven't died. They're been without spray for probably 24h. Thought I had sorted it yesterday but came back today with the same problem.

Soldering joint are OK, weird that's it's been working for weeks, probably just oxidation from the solder joint expanding causing wrong/bad earthing.

Edit: Found the culprint. One of the relays broke on me. Switched to another port. Ordered some replacement relay boards, still got one relay unused. Need backup for all the relays
