Prevent odours lingering from a used carbon filter

My system air silent EC fan and carbonair 60 filter has arrived. Oh boy they are huge and heavy, I didn't know what to expect being this is the 1st time. I have not even started the op yet and my 1st thoughts are how they hell will I clean or store the filter after use, i really dont want no heavy smell lingering about. I dont plan on consistantly growing, will take breaks in between. I have thoughts of it stinking at the end of the harvest when it comes to packing things away until the next use. I had read previously you can wash them, but I cant see how this will be so easy. How would you store a used filter, do you clean yours, whats is the best options?

Hit a hardware store and buy a bucket with lid to store it in. If you cant find one big enough just seal it in a couple garbage bags.

On the cheaper filters. Like a small iPower brand. I throw it away after I bust the filter apart. The carbon is cast into the backyard. There's two empty filter "cases" out back also. From experience, they're done after one grow. 2nd will smell a little bit. 3rd grow, its not worth a shit.

Bigger and expensive filter. I simply unhook it and let sit there. No wrap, no cover.
