alrite so about a few days ago my parents found my four plants that i have been growing in my closet. their reason was that my room started smelling very bad and they were just looking from wher the smell came from to mayb get rid of it. they were growing in my closet in a huge tupperware type thing.. i just wanted to kno how ppl are getting the smell down to a minimum or mayb shud i just wait for better weather conditions around january to grow outside..

any input wud be GREATTT thanks

You shouldn't grow if your parents won't allow you, all your going to do is end up in more trouble then it's worth.:sad:

But as for your question, covering the smell of weed is a very hard thing to do, Best thing i can say is to, make a exhaust tube with a small fan to push the air out, and put the exit of the tube somewhere they won't see\smell it.

Other then that wait till your older, and on your own, wouldn't you just feel horrible if your parents went to jail over it?I know i would.:hump:

My only problem with the exhaust fan option is the air has to be passed through a scrubber and then exhausted somewhere. You have 2 potentially huge failures waiting to happen. Failure A. Your scrubber fails in which, depending on how and where you exhaust your air to, any passerby on the sidewalk or worse yet a neighbor notices the smell leaving your house. Failure B. You exhaust into what you think is a safe spot only to find out the exhaust air is hotter then surrounding ambient temps in which case the police spot you with FLIR. I know those failures are few and far between but the option is still there. A way to be safe with failure B is to use your dryer exhaust ducting to your advantage and exhaust that way.

yeh first you should probably move out. BUT if its something that you HAVE TO DO man, then covering the smell of your plants is easy, especially if your growing in a container of some sort. Just go to the search bar n look up DIY CARBON FILTER. Its cheap, and it works better than anything else that your gonna try to cover up the smell. Activated Carbon neutralizes pretty much any foul smell thats passed through it. Makes it smell like regular air. Your pot smell problems will go away as soon as you install the filter and have a fan blowing all of the air inside the tub through it. DIY CARBON FILTER - its a tutorial written by Wolfman Zen - he knows his shit.

serious if u live with mommy and daddy and are old enough to talk to them about what u want to do or they are ok with then u need to get ur own place and grow up

ps i just back home just to save some money and talked to my dad just like a man should told him what i wanted to do he said no problem just be careful and i aint no junior but times are hard

Cmon guys, no need to be at each others shit for no reason. Im sure theres plenty of guys on here growin in their parents houses, lol. Its not like its completely unheard of, although it aint condoned. If hes an adult, hes old enough to make his own descisions, and hes old enough to grow. So try to keep it to giving him advice on what to do rather than baggin on him cuz he lives with the olds.

I am all for him growing. I am not up for his parents going to jail for his habit/hobby. Unless ofcourse he asked them first and they gave him the go ahead.

Son, 1st question is.... Are you comfortable with your parents losing their home, becouse you wanna be a BIG BOY and grow pot? YES, the government can and will take the house if you are caught, think about that then come ask us questions, questions that you can find in the grow faq........................................
