What is this? Please help

So first time ever growing. And I have ten planted. They started about 2-3 weeks ago. And I can’t tell if this is light burn or nute burn. I have 2 1000w led lights about 2-2.5 feet away from the plant. And the soul I’m using is ffof. No added nutes I started them in rapid rooters. And I’m using room temp 6.5 ph water is there a way to save these or what should I do. A co hi ple of the plants are doing this.

Ffof is a very hot mix for a seedling. It's gonna struggle for a minute until you have leached some nutrients put of the soil thru watering.

I begin with a seedling starter soil. Then once a root system has been established I transfer to a hotter soil.

Oh sorry they just got watered today I waited till they were dry to atleast a inch down and the top was dry and crumbly. But they did just get water

Oh sorry they just got watered today I waited till they were dry to atleast a inch down and the top was dry and crumbly. But they did just get water

And I did start with rapid rooters until they had a bunch of roots coming out the stater like a couple inches long at that then transplanted them. Was that not long enough?

Soul....errrrrr soil looks saturated

Water way less and not as often

Also I was told to plant the stems down into the dirt to create more roots out of it but they were all about 3-4 inches tall some are just buried now

You transplanted seedlings to young which typically can cause stunting

Tiny root hairs get damaged and sometimes never recover

That's not categorized as a stable root system.

I would sincerely try watering less. Many times I don't have to water my solo cups for 7-8 days. Especially if they are that small. The root base is not growing hence the plant can't grow.

It's probably root issues plus a hot soil. Let it fully dry out.

So what do I do now. Less watering got it. But also from the looks of the roots they still have hundreds of tiny hairs because there’s a lot of roots at the bottom of the pots and plenty of hairs

Okay thank you. I will try that. I will say this is only my second time actually watering them in this time and the other plants are doing great just these couple scared me and there is still stead growth on these. New leaves coming in and getting taller but I will try that

Also I should probably point out these aren’t solo cups they are like brown cardboard cups that you just plant the whole thing and it just disintegrates like papier-mâché when it’s dry but it’s supposed to have like great drainage or something like that

Not a fan of those, just my opinion

They soak up moisture keeping it wet. Think in reverse here.

Also how far should the light be. I have 2 1000w led and I don’t know how high to put them without stretching or how close to put without burning them more
