I have had my four autoflower strawberry cools plants on 24-hour light schedule it's been 4 weeks just started the second day of the fourth week can I turn the lights off for 4 hours a day now or will that make the planta flower I just don't want to cause premature flowering I'm still vegging

Your plants will only switch to flowering phase when they get 12 hrs of light and 12 hrs of darkness. It's recommended to give a couple of hours of darkness each night in veg, too.

Do a slow switch. Start with 1 hr, then the next day 1.5 hrs, the day after 2hrs, and so on until you're at 4-6 hours of darkness per night.

My bad! I was a bit too quick there. Thanks for pointing it out.
Yes, sorry. Autos do flip on their own. But they still benefit from a bit of darkness, especially after 4 weeks.

an auto won't necessarily do better under 24 hours of light, there is such a thing as light saturation even for autos. I think you'll find they grow faster with at least a 4 hour rest period.

Autos prefer “ static “ light cycles , the higher cycles allow better veg / as autos are hard wired to move thru growth on its own terms. Long cycle helps get that SHORT veg stage setup for flowering, bigger root mass , bigger structure.

24/0 , 20/4 , 18/6 are typical cycles.

18/6 on my autos.... I looked everywhere for light schedules for auto... 18/6 is what I hear for optimal light.
