Intro+questions, Which seed type is the one for me?

Hi stoners, medical users, researchers ...

I am going to grow for the first time and I have no experience and no equipment, I would love to get a list of what I need based on my space(closet). I am going to grow indoor and I am located in Eastern Europe (Dracula town ;)) I would like to start asap so considering 8 9 weeks I will have my first harvest mid spring. I would be planting 3 seeds. I have a closet space of 1.7meter height and 0.60meter width. Do you see this feasible?
Now I shoot my questions:D
  • Autoflower or femenized seed :leaf:you suggest for my setup?( Less smelly, more yield)
  • Please list equipment needed. the forum is like a black hole, hard to find my way.
  • Does the smell travel through the walls and neighbor upstairs would be alarmed?
  • What is your estimated cost of equipment to be purchased in EU?
  • Does it matter when I start planting if doing indoor?
  • Closet temp atm is 22 Centigrade and humidity is 35%

Is your closet .6x.6x1.7m?
If so that’s enough room for 1 medium sized plant.
I can’t advise you on photo or autos. I grow photo period plants. Because I like to do a lot of training and can control when they start to flower.
so for 1 plant you will need:
1 3-5 nuersery gallon pot, not sure how many liters that is.
Some good dirt, perlite, pumice or something to lighten up the soil.


a good veg and bloom nutrient or if organic, organic soil amendments and stuff to make teas.
A light. A quantum board style with Samsung lm 301h or b diodes and a meanwell driver. A “1000” or one that draws 100-150 watts from the wall is a good choice for that space. Color temp should be 3000k or 3500k with extra red.
A hygrometer, to tell you temp and humidity
A small fan to move air inside the closet
Another small fan to move air in and out of the closet.
A ph meter and calibration solution
A tds or ec meter to know how strong your nutrients are
Something waterproof to line the bottom of your closet.
A 4” (100cm?)carbon filter and in line fan for controlling smell. This can be used to move air in and out of the closet too.
And a light timer
I probably forgot something but that’s a good start

smell does travel like crazy. If that’s a big concern you might want to do 2 carbon filters
No idea what all that will cost in the eu, Maybe $500 usd
Doesn’t matter when you plant if you’re indoors unless you have trouble cooling your place in the summer.

Biggest issue I had to overcome with a closet grow was air exchange. Rented apt so I couldn't modify anything. I had to get creative with a one inch gap under the door.

How close are you to bucharest, there are a few hydroponic stores there...they might be able to help you better then asking where to get stuff qhen most of us are in north America
