Friend is giving me clones, what items do I need?

I have everything I need to grow, and more. I’ve never done clones before, my buddy said I need..

1. Tray
2. Rockwool or 1.5 rapid rooters

I have aloe flakes, coconut powder and more (from buildasoil.) What would you guys suggest I get? Don’t some people just use like aloe gel and stick it in dirt?

I prefer the bubbleponics/ dwc cloning method. Easiest possible way to go. Just drop em in and they root on their own. Cider you under $30 to build too.

I'm assuming you're getting fresh cuttings. A warming pad would be a good investment, the cutting will root faster at higher temps.

If they're freshly cut, I'd root them in a rooting plug, placed inside a humidity chamber, placed on top of a heating mat. Once fully rooted (~10 days), transfer to soil.

Either way. Root Riots in a dome with a heat mat set to like 75 will work faster and might give you better odds.

I prefer just to pop them in soil. Less to clean up. If one doesn't live, I just put another cutting in the pot. I've also started using raw organic honey instead of Clonex too. But for the Root Riots I would rather use Clonex probably.

Even water will work to clone them.
