I just I just switched things over from a sterile res, now using Hydroguard and Dynazyme . I just change my reservoir and I'm worried about them being without for 24 hours
24 hours of you are aerating it. Temperature makes a difference also. Personally I'd wait a couple more days just to be sure.I just I just switched things over from a sterile res, now using Hydroguard and Dynazyme . I just change my reservoir and I'm worried about them being without for 24 hours
City water 90ppm small amount of chlorine but not enough to smell. it should be gone in 24 hoursWhat is your tap water like? Does it contain chlorine?
If it does the chlorine will just murder the bacteria.
So solve the chlorine issue or go with r/o
Yeah my reservoir and my sites are all bubbling cauldrons, and I'm leaving the lid off the reservoir since it's in a dark area24 hours of you are aerating it. Temperature makes a difference also. Personally I'd wait a couple more days just to be sure.
thank you I will certainly look into that. Vitamin C is some amazing stuffI buy vit c powder by the lb on Amazon and use a tiny bit each time I fill up a bucket with water to remove chlorine/chloramine...https://www.fs.fed.us/t-d/pubs/html/05231301/05231301.html
I think that Vit C and the citric acid I use as PH down has had a positive effect on my plant growth
I use it on the water for my turtle water changes too. And if anybody is into taking baths, the dose would be 1 teaspoon for a full bathtub. I think this would be great for babies since chemicals effect them more.thank you I will certainly look into that. Vitamin C is some amazing stuff

Interesting! I do sort of the same Outdoors. I have a Japanese koi pond that I use to water my plants. Makes great organic outdoorI use it on the water for my turtle water changes too. thank you this may be the solution I am looking for. I have a reverse osmosis device but it wastes a terrible amount of water and I am a small personal Supply type grower that has serious financial difficulties at the moment. Doubling or tripling my water bill is not an option at the moment and the device is about 10 years old now so it will probably need new filtersNp, happy to help. Thanks for the great tips! How much Vitamin C should be used per gallon & does order matter like with Silicic Acid? I'll be using this in my 5-gallon DWC (3.5 gallons of tap water) on 1-week old plants in veg.I buy vit c powder by the lb on Amazon and use a tiny bit each time I fill up a bucket with water to remove chlorine/chloramine...https://www.fs.fed.us/t-d/pubs/html/05231301/05231301.html
