Why so many autoflower growers?

Because I'm freaking bored! I grow my years worth of photo period buds under the Sun in the summer/autumn. With usually 6-8 photoperiod plants. This year maybe same, 20210224_103842.jpg20210224_103749.jpg20210224_103934.jpgWith 2 Autoflower that will be outside May 15th 2021. And 1 autoflower in the closet, right now for shits and giggles in Feburary.

I haven't followed up on the ongoings down there but that's truly awful if that's happening.

The rest was sarcasm. Properly grown autos are fantastic.

Two conflicting opinions. The only "hate" here is your opinion of mine.
 
I see the big advantage of autos is being able to buy a smaller wattage light (cheaper) and run it 20/4 to get a bigger harvest than you could with the same light running 12/12, other than that they have less room for error, and you can't keep a perpetual going unless you breed seeds or keep buying more seeds.

You don't understand because your only seing it from your own point of view. Like in this post you show that growing autos actually takes some knowledge. Do you think everybody has the time or could be bothered to gain that knowledge, and that ''Auto'' isn't taken on face value?.
 
I decided 3 years ago to try autos again after some freebies flopped in 2012 for me. Alaska. Literally no darkness in summer and an outdoor growing season in double digit days. By the time we have just 12 hours of light it’s snowing and freezing.

All 3 years the bud was good. Tasty but not potent. However despite having them outside as soon as it was safe in late May I’ve never had one finish outdoors. I’ve had to bring them inside into the tent. I have 5 free auto seeds. I’m going to try a 4th time.

There’s no plus side.
 
Ok I started over with a Barney’s farm sweet tooth auto. I’m using jiffy perlite pellets to germinate.after the roots poke through I am adding the michrozea great white. I buffered my coco coir this time so I should be good. I’m adding blood meal and dr. Earths 2-2-2,bush doctor cal/mag and tiger bloom for flowering. Got the 3-gallon fabric pots. Is there anything I’m missing?
