Flowering plants turning yellow.

I've got these flowering plants. The first couple of pics, flowerless plants, they went 12/12 Feb 20.

The others, flowery plants, went 12/12 Feb 6th.

FFOF, GH trio w/Botanicare Cal-Mag. 12/12 is under a 1000W HPS. Underfeeding is my guess.

Soak peels in the sun 2 days. Strain and PPM. Should be in the 200 range. Direct spray or add to straight water. No epsoms in soils.

I also have Alaska Fish Fertilizer.

OK. 2 bananas down, one to go > I'll put the peels into a gallon jug of water > steep in sunny window for 2 days > water plants (Saturday).

I fear foliar spraying will promote molds.

Cut the bananna tea by 50%. Add 1tsp fish to a quart. Foliar will not promote mold if used to just mist. I'd be more concerned with film build up preventing transpiration. Spray once in the morning for 2 days. Dump the fish mix. 2 day shelf life when mixed. Mist with water to clean leaf surfaces on third day. Wait a week and repeat until good buds. Only spray once a week with this foliar after the twice thing.

OK. Are there any negative consequences I should be aware of? Like the possibility of a fruit fly invasion or exotic insect eggs being imported on the banana skins and I risk unleashing a grow room plague?

Unlikely as banannas are full of synthetic pesticides and mold inhibitors. I would suggest epsoms salts and keep it clean.

Probably pH related if you're using a complete plant food. You always need to combat the natural low pH of peat.

Optimizing watering practices and keeping pH on the higher end is recommended in peat based soils. I water my soil plants with 7-7.5 pH.

I've seen people needing to go even higher than that to stop deficiencies.

Been reading this thread, dealing with issues myself. So I put 2 banana peels in 0.5 liter water, let it sit on a heat mat overnight.
That must have been enough, because ppm was around 7-800. I should note that my tap comes in at a whopping ~220ppm

I just gave my Blue Sunshine the heaviest feed so far, keeping my fingers crossed

I have the bluelab ppm pen and normally use EC.

My plain water tests

- EC 0.3
- PPM 500 setting = 160
- PPM 700 setting = 220

Strained banana water after 20 hours

- EC 0.8
- PPM 500 setting = 420
- PPM 700 setting = 590

The plants will need juice later today or tomorrow AM.

Using the above numbers is a good dosage 2 cups of strained banana water per 1/2 gallon of water?
