I transplanted last night and noticed some gnat larvae on my plant. Been searching for why my plant seems to be dying and found out. So what's the best way to get rid of gnat larvae? Area around and room is clean

Gnatrol, Azamax, Mosquito bits, sand or gnat nix top dressing - there are tons of solutions. Fungus gnats usually indicates that the soil/medium is too wet. If it's just a single plant, you can direct a small desk fan (~3-4" fan) across the soil and that will kill them off in a few days.

Just go get some peroxide from dollar store 3%

Drench the medium and it will kill ALL larvae on contact. BUT the gnats will come back when the medium dries.

If your plant seems to be dying I wouldn't say it's gnats, I can't believe that you wouldn't have seen hundreds of them flying around before any problems popped up. They are not the most destructive pests. They do however like weak plants. Fix the gnat problem for sure, but then look for the other reason your plant looks like it's dying.

Neem doesn't work and it stinks if you got the right shit.


Again, go buy a bottle of 3% h202 for 1 dollar and get some sticky traps. Drench the medium and ALL LARVAE DIE INSTANTLY. Traps catch the adults. No more gnats.

I had this issue for a long time due to soil grows in fabric pots. Im telling you. It works. Also switch to coco and use silica. Really helps reduce pests.

just drenched with 3% about 30 minute ago, all good as of now
