topdress lime on seedlings

My soil PH is quite acidic and I was wondering if I topdress with dolomite lime will the seedling be OK or should I adjust PH when the plant is more mature?

What makes you think your soil is acidic? Most soils have ph buffers right from the start. Is this new soil?

It's a supersoil I made approx 3 weeks ago, ph coming it at just under 5, did not add any lime so wanted know if I topdress with lime if it could harm the seedling in anyway due to a big change in the ph when the lime is added?
