Those plants look really healthy!Auto pots and 60/40 Coco clay balls
I wasn't impressed with AutoPots they ended up getting clogging issues even with plain water. The little lines will get plugged up but if you just ordered a kit hopefully it comes with larger lines than 1/4" otherwise I suggest getting a refund if possible. I actually threw away all the stuff cause it just ended up being overpriced plastic in the end and the yields weren't as good as when I hand feed and give them a proper wet/"dry" cycle even in coco.I am curious as to how the run with Autopots and M3 worked out for you?
I was planning on doing my first run with the Autopots using M3. From what I can tell, the M3 mix is a super soil.
I purchased the Autopots, Torus Hydro PerfectpH, and M3 soil hoping for a mostly automated grow.
I don’t know how long ago you tried them, but they redesigned the float valve and everything. They now use 3/8” line & increased the opening on the inlet. I just got 2 a couple months ago to try out & LOVE them. I will definitely be expanding my setup now to 6 possibly even more in the future. I use a super soil and top dress! Similar to an earth box, you have clean fresh water on the bottom allowing you to top dress as long as you have a plastic mulch cover (otherwise you won’t get the feeder roots coming to the surface and the top dress becomes pointless) Autopots for the win!!I wasn't impressed with AutoPots they ended up getting clogging issues even with plain water. You had the right idea, you don’t want those roots exposed to light so I would recommend some sort of mulch cover (anything, just don’t leave roots exposed to the light)Thank you for that! I noticed roots coming to the surface, so I kept adding more coco. I’ll stop that now.
What are you using for a medium?
Are you using Airdomes?
Thank you!
I cannot find these covers. Would you happen to have a link to some plastic mulch covers?I use a super soil and top dress! I don't prep the Coco it goes straight from the bag to the pots and then plants go in and more Coco. Those plants look really healthy!
I am on my first grow, ever, now and I am using Coco. I did not prepare my Coco by soaking it in CalMag and I've been dealing with a CalMag deficiency up until flower. Did you soak your Coco in CalMag prior to using?
Does 60/40 mean you have clay balls mixed into the medium?
I was thinking about trying a 60/40 of Coco and Perlite.
no need to ph a super soil!I am curious as to how the run with Autopots and M3 worked out for you?

AUTO anything is shit. You get out what you put in. the more you work on your garden the more it will produce for you. If you assume what it needs and follow feeding charts you'll be in a merciful position to the feeding chart, extremely tragic thing to do. You should always use something you can dose based off EC for the plant size and understand your plant enough where you don't fry it or starve it.. Its trial and error. Auto anything is junk and you wont get the results you want with automation. The extra care is what makes it a better quality and more enjoyable product. Thanks for replying!
I am currently on my first grow, day 44 Autoflowers in Coco. I must have missed the part about high fertigation when using Coco. I just don't have the time to water my plants that often. The most I can do is once a day at night.
I was reading about clogging issues, so I bought some House & Garden Drip Clean and SLF-100. My kit has the AQUAvalve 5 with 3/8″, 3/8″ – 1/2″, and 1/2″ pipework and fittings , so I'm really hoping this reduces the clogging issues.
I'm trying to decide what medium and mix that works best with the Autopots. What did you find you had the most success with?
How big is your res? tryna put this to use for myselfIn flower I just add this to my res and let the plant grow no mulch just in the Res
