Cal-mag defficient?

Seedling a looking a little off colour. New growth is fine. Feeding 0.5 ml per litre with cal-mag. total ec is 1.5.

I reckon a bit cal-mag deff. What do you guys think?

what makes you say that? EC is 1.5 so should be plenty of N in there

Just planted the 2.5 inch rockwool cubes straight into these 5 gallon grow bags. I'm pretty sure it's the new Coco sucking out the cal-mag. I'm thinking to feed a few litres of full strength cal mag solution to each pot to buffer that cal-mag. I buy pre buffered stuff but as it breaks down it will chew up more cal-mag

They look overwatered. Sometimes it's tough for a little plant to establish roots in a large pot of coco if it's too wet. The water can't be drank or evaporated fast enough, so the oxygen lacking roots don't grow much. The plant just kind of sits there until negative issues arise.

I don't know why people say that. In full bloom it's probably true, but when the plant is young it's definitely possible. That little plant could probably go several days without a watering. It's not like it's sucking up tons of nutes. 5 gallons if a huge pot for coco.

I do run oxygen into the pots with air stones and aquarium pumps. So should be a lot of oxygen down there

You're probably just creating dry pockets. The water needs to be aerated directly, which is usually accomplished by agitating. Fish will die if their tnk water isn't getting bubbled because it can't just pull much oxygen from the air.

It must be in properly sized container as well. This coco looks good with big particles of perlite. I would say it is potassium, but magnesium also. Try to lower your dose of calmag and fill it with base for few days if no help than I would go once calmag once feed in same day with 12h break...

I trialed this in my last grow and the 2 that had air pumped are growing about 20 percent bigger. But I didn't start the air until they were about 4 weeks old.

Coco can not be over watered when the plant has a fully established root system. It's that second part that is often left out.

Your plant doesn't seem to show any calcium or magnesium deficiencies. Most likely overwatering or pH issue.

Deficiencies in plants that small are usually caused by something else. Unless he isn't feeding them or feeding them way too heavily. Those types of problems have usually been building up over time before they start to show signs.

Pre-buffered still must be rinsed.
