Another reason to rinse coco is the get the fine stuff out, you just want the nice fluffy stuff, not the dirty mud at the bottom.

My clones start off like this almost everytime with new coco etc. However after a certain size they just stay green.

Only time coco can be overfed is if the drain is slower than the feed and can't keep up thus flooding the coco. In a tomato coco greenhouse, they water up to every 20 minutes if the conditions are good ! Yes, every 20 minutes!

So you're always having similar issues in early veg, yet you don't think coco can be overwatered. hmmm....

How are you measuring your EC? I checked my flower tent last night and it looks like I've got potassium deficiency so I've increased EC to 2.0

I just bought one the other day. I don't know if it's really any better than the crappy tds meter I've been using, but it's way cooler to use. I feel like some sort of techno-wizard.

This is a light feeder I’ve been growing for years, but even heavy feeders I only need 1.0 in veg, and a little more during flower. Definitely never fed more then 1.4EC to anything ever, so I’m not sure either why we have such different numbers.
Ive dropped, and bashed my blue lab, left it out in the weather and it just never fails. I grow heaps of shit besides medical stuff and it’s just a great bit of gear

What kind of water do you use? Could be something to do with my tap water. it's 0.3 EC before I add anything to it

Yes, but my main problem is probably because I only plain tap water till they get a good amount of roots (probably smashing the buffering with an overdose . Doesn't bother me because once i pot them in their dedicated rooms they're exploding.

I've never experienced any overwatering symptoms.
Look at my watering graph 12gallon pots, 30kg+ with water (runoff on first feed), 6 feeds during lights on fully saturated and smashing 600-700gr per m2.

Did you even read what we are talking about?

Fruity is running his plants at no higher than 1.4 EC and having no issues. I am running 1.6 right now and seeing deficiencies and the subject isn't on page 1.

It is obviously something to do with the bioavailability of the nutrients and it could have something to do with the water being used. Or the the environmental conditions in the root zone.
