Plant spacing

Hi I am growing in a MH 2.3 x 2.3 grow tent with 2 different strains Granddaddy purple and Pineapple Express. If you look at the pic they are touching each other and touching the side wall of the tent. Is it ok for plants to be touching like this? Will it hinder yields? Besides buying a bigger grow tent how else can I best utilize the space in this tent for optimal yields. They are both approaching end of week 1 in flower. I have been continuously LST’ing since week 2 of Veg. My end goal is 3-4oz per plant. And they are growing under a marshydro TSW2000 grow light 310w from the wall.

That's fine. As long as you are actively promoting airflow, you will be fine. Regularly move leaves around if it's humid and your getting excess sweating. Screens come in handy for this as you don't have to continuously tie and train, you can just tuck and direct branches wherever there is space and light.

However, you can regularly pick up 4x2 tents on sale for $50-60 from Kogan/amazon. They are ideal for two plants. I got a 120x60x150 for $50 last week, and certa 120x120x180 tents are going for $60ish right now.

I have one Powerful 6in clip on oscillating fan blowing on them both. Provides very good air flow no dead air spots. With a screen or SCRog wouldn’t it be much harder to prune the bottom of the plant? What will happen to the plants if I leave them like this?

As long as the plant can perspire, it not much of an issue. As long as each shoot is getting adequate light and you make sure the canopy is relatively even, and not beading up from lack of perspiration, it will be fine.

The screen does make it as ass to move the plants to water to runoff outside, or prune. It takes a good few minutes to weave the net off.

To put it simply, canopy space is canopy space. It doesn't really matter if the space is taken up by one large plant, or four smaller plants. As long as adequate light and possibility to perspire is provided you will be fine. Here's a pic of 4 plants for 13.5 Oz under a 2x2 if your worried about space.

Those buds are beautiful! In my set up the leaves and some shoots are being covered by the other plant that’s the real problem. I may have LST’d too much lol but I read online start early and keep readjusting the ties everytime a branch gets taller than the others

If i were you I would also look into defoliation tht will help with light penetration and increase yield

i defoliate and prune everytime before i water and or feed the plants. I make sure the canopy is even and every bud site is exposed and get rid of weak shoots that will not produce big buds.
