Today I'm setting up the next vegetative cycle by pulling my clones out of the cloner and tossing them in dollar tree trash cans I convert into a hempy bucket by drilling a 3/4" hole 2 inches from the bottom. The trash cans are about 1.75 gallon if I remember right. I got behind schedule and didn't take clones until week 3 of flower, so they took 3 weeks to properly root. It is what it is. I've got a mix of blue dream, critical mass, godfather OG, god bud, maui waui, and jager. All power house strains with high yields and high potency.
Fertilizer:
Jack's 5-12-26 3.6g/gallon
Epsom salt 1.1g/gallon
Calcium nitrate 2.4g/gallon
Dilute solution to 1.6 EC with plain water
Jack's 10-30-20 for 2 weeks after the 12/12 flip as per the Jack's 3-2-1 schedule with epsom salt
Jack's 7-15-30 for the final 2 weeks of flower as per the Jack's 3-2-1 schedule with epsom salt
PH: 5.8
I really only have room for 10 big plants in my flower room which is 12'x16' so I'm going to have to whittle down my batch of plants to a smaller amount. Jager is such a large plant I will probably axe 1. 2 would consume 1/3 of the room. I like jager. Not that much though
I have never run the 7-15-30 or 10-30-20 before. I so far have had outstanding results using the jack's 3-2-1 from start to finish at 1.6 EC. I did not flush the last cycle and the pot tastes and burns fantastic! I will flush for 3 days this cycle with plain water just as I would do in soil to see if there is any observable difference in flavor or burn qualities. I am awaiting delivery of my 25# bag of 7-15-30 from Peters. Paid about $83 with my $3 Jack's sticker pack. Gotta have my swag man I only have 13 days of flower left before I hit the 63 day mark. I may only get 7-10 days to use the 7-15-30 this cycle with a 3 day flush depending on when it arrives. I'm pretty excited to take it for a test drive. Hopefully it shows tomorrow. Nobody locally carries it. Actually hard to even find online from anyone other than Peters or growgreenmi.com.
I am taking out my two 1000w HID lights, hoods, ballasts, and ducting at the end of my present flower cycle. They'll be replaced with LED 660w quantum boards I ordered from Alibaba for $675 in all 3500k chips with the epistar 660 and 760nm chips: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/660W-sunlike-spectrum-3000k-5000k-660nm_62551574632.html?spm=a2756.order-detail-ta-ta-b.0.0.1d502fc2jZ0r0P
I ordered them via express sea support freight which gives a shipping time of 18-23 days versus 10 days via UPS express shipping for about $200 more. No thanks. I'm in no hurry and do not need to pay for expedited air shipping. Send that shit on a sail boat for all I care if it saves me $200 In a nutshell I cannot install them for about 4-5 weeks anyways, so it literally made no sense to pay more to get them here quicker via air shipping and it saved me more than 25% of the total cost of the transaction. Sea support freight is the way to go if you order on alibaba. Light years cheaper if you have the time. This is my 3rd order from the same company. I own a 660w board from them I bought a year ago in a mixture of 3000k and 5000k chips with the 660 and 760nm epistar's and it's a beast. I was so impressed I ordered 2 more 110w boards for a 5'x5' nursery, and they are fantastic! No more endlessly replacing T5 tubes. 220w is the max output I can run in a 5'x5'. Any more and the foliage gets bleached.
I've got a few soil plants going in 1 nursery in fox farm happy frog:
Holly hock
Lemon balm
Godfather OG
Wild flowers
Gotta stick these tomato plants in the outside garden today. No more room inside
What's the check mark for? I run a water, water, feed, water, water, feed regimen on my soil pot plants. 1 check means it has been watered once. 2 check's means it's been watered twice. That's how I know when to mix up some plant food. Then I use a blank marker with a red on it to indicate fertilizer was applied last watering. I kept forgetting and had to come up with a simple system to remind me of when each plant needs food or not:
Beautiful fragrant lemon balm and a holly hock:
Godfather OG:
Wild flowers kicking ass:
2 god bud regular seedlings and 1 bruce banger feminized:
A monster critical mass I just recently chopped 6 tops off of and spread it out. She won't have a bigger space to go into for another 4 weeks, so I'm doing my best to wrangle her branches until then. It's gonna be a real challenge
