I'm about to do another reversal myself. This time it's Golden Tiger from ACE. I planted 3 regular seeds hoping for both males and females to make more seeds and ended up with 3 females. Not many growers are disappointed when they get all females but I was. Golden Tiger is a cross so it's not like it was a landrace I wanted to preserve. The GT is for future projects and I can work with feminized seeds.
One thing about making feminized seeds is that many just reverse one branch or pollinate just one branch. I prefer to start with two clones. Reversing one and pollinating the other. I've just found that it makes things easier to manage using two small clones.
These are the target plants for producing feminized seed. The smaller one on the left will be reversed and the one on the right will be the target plant. Tomorrow I'll spray the one I'm reversing and then in a few days I'll spray it again and put both in the flower tent under 12/12. I'll spray a couple more times through week three when hopefully both plants will start showing sex and the sprayed plant will show male.
If everything works then the reversed plant will look like this. It should look pure male for the best pollen. Like these. You don't want any pistils. Some previous reversals.
