Watering question..

I am about to transplant my three plants into seperate 3 gallon pots (with drainage holes). I am going to water them about every three days and I want to know what a good amount would be to water them? I know most will say "water as much as you think it needs" but if anyone could give me a good amount to water each time it would be a lot easier.

p.s. I am using miracle grow all purpose potting soil and 4 CFLs for light. The temperature is constant between 75-80F and the humidity is around 55% most of the time.

Ok you probably wont need to water that much to start...that being said what I like to do is water till i get some runoff out the bottom but dont water till the top inch or so of the soil is good and dry. After a while you will be able to tell when your plant are in need. Hope this helps and good luck.

I use the two knuckle method stick your index finger in the soil to the second knuckle if you have any moisture don't water wait till it's dry. I also water till I get some run off. your temps and humidity are about the same as mine. atm mine are in smaller pots I water 3-4 days.

i use the 2 knuckle method too but that is for something completely different........i use tap water let it sit for 24 hrs BAM distilled. add some ph down + nutes

don't know about distilled. but city water at least around here sucks I don't need to let my well water sit no added chems. and I run the water threw a omni filter ph is running at 7.1 out of the tap. I use about half a cap of lemon juice to bring the ph down to 6.5 before watering. seem to work i'm on my therd grow at this location.
