The only real downside to this setup is the air cooling. 1500 cfm is alot, pretty loud too. And you will be pulling alot of air out of your home....wasted heat and AC.

VERY impressive Im doing a similar size room. but 12 plant! how big are you gonna let them get? scrog?

I'm trying to do an auto watering system. I got my drip system from home depot. My dam plants move around to much and change in number to much . gotta hand water them.

you could pull from an outside side room through your lights and than out to ideally up the chimney. that'll get rid of a shit pile of heat. you also won't be taking cold air out of the room to cool the lights. can run more efficiently to than

now that’s everybody has me thinking about how much heat it would create in my bedroom. I might just scrap that whole idea. Rip the 8x8x8 Y Duct from the ceiling and connect it to the 12” inline fan which is connected to 12” to 8” duct converter and connect it to glass block window with a 8” exhaust vent cover(like a dryer uses to vent outside) which is already installed. And get me another 8x8x8 Y Duct and put it on the other side of the glass block windows connected to the 8” fan connected to another 8” exhaust vent cover that way the odor and heat just blows straight out the room/separately

Or use the 12 inch inline fan to blow fresh air in and use both 8” inline fans connected to the glass block window (one exhausting odor and other blowing hot air from the lights)

which plan sounds better ?
Do I want negative or positive pressure inside the rooom ?

thank you brother. The first person who has complimented my room/work. Appreciate it,

why not get something like this from Amazon ? And put the water pump and an air pump with 8” circle air stone (to mix and to keep the water from sitting still) inside a garbage can filled with your water and nutrients. Set water pump on a timer, run the hose from inside the room up and down in rows between your plants. Poke holes where needed and install the barb that’s included with the water emitters. Run small tubing from the included barb to the water emitters and bam. Maybe turn the timer to run 3x per day and water a little or just enough to make the soil/coco wet ? Obviously you’d dial it in perfect with testing but yeah. I wanna try this setup especially knowing my plants will fill the room and I won’t be able to maneuver through the room once the plants get big

Looking good man, 4000w of HPS going to create alot of heat for 1x 8" or 12" exhaust, especially if you're reducing the 12" down to 8", that will restrict the flow and increase noise.

Have you thought about putting in an A/C and going sealed or is that not an option? If no A/C I would definately use air cooled hoods.

They are air cooled. Reason hoses aren’t hooked up yet is because I ran out but I just got more. Just haven’t got around to installing the rest

What ambient temps are you working with ? 4x1000w not air cooled will put out serious heat ! If air temp going in is cool enough you should be ok ! It's the temps you have to watch with hid lights especially kwatters "1000w" ! I'm running 4x600w in a space about 3 inch smaller than your 8x8 and temps are the thing to watch ! I'll be checking out your grow when ur under way !

Sorry didn't see the hoods ! Should be fine as long as cooled hoods have enough air blowing through to rid the heat !
The lights are all attached to a 12 inch 1500 CFM inline fan with a Y 3 way duct. I actually finished all of The duct work last night. Just gotta install the drywall on the ceiling and tape and mud it. I have the seeds ordered as well. Shhould be here tomorrow or Monday so over the weekend I plan on getting everything hooked up and ready to finally throw my seeds in some coco !

This plan sounds better. I keep negative pressure in my room for the smell to not leak out.
Tbh you don't really need forced air in. I had a 125 cfm 6inch fan pulling in and a 800 cfm 8 inch pulling out. the 6in would keep spinning if I unplugged it from the 8in pull.

You don't have to tape and mud if you don't want to. I didn't and my room is pretty well sealed.

You said you were new I believe? in my opinion seed is WAY harder than cloning.
