Ppm and ph down

So I’m starting with reverse osmosis water at zero ppm’s and it’s about 6.8 pH. When I add pH down the PPM‘s go up about 300 ppm‘s by the time I get it down to 5.8 PH. Just seems like I have to use a lot of pH down and it’s raising my P PMs too high. Anyone else?

Don't try to adjust pH of RO or distilled water.
Mix in all nutriants first, then adjust pH.

Use nutrients will drop you ph and raise ppm, even something simple like calmag.
