What an idiot. So many people throwing away their careers and integrity and freedom...for an infomercial.
This guy is fucked and will be really fucked if the USMC decides to pile on and they should, he disgraced the uniform and betrayed his oath. Asses are burning right up to the top of the corps, or should be, I can see his commanding officer freaking out all over him.

Considering how Trump has publicly disrespected servicemembers, technically every servicemember that voted/s for Trump has disgraced their uniform/country.

Looks like a classic case of Court Martial! He should be tried my a military court and if found guilty, shot by firing squad, he was a USMC officer caught red handed in an act of insurrection FFS! This jarhead had his jar full of shit.

The judge might have ordered him released, but his commanding officer might have other ideas.

An active-duty U.S. Marine officer was arrested in Virginia on Thursday and charged with using violence against police during the Jan. 6 invasion of the U.S. Capitol by a mob of supporters of then-President Donald Trump.
Major Christopher Warnagiris, who is the first active-duty member of the U.S. armed forces to be charged in connection with the riot, is accused of pushing his way past a line of police protecting the Capitol and forcing his way through a doorway in the East Rotunda of the Capitol.

Warnagiris, a 40-year-old Woodbridge, Virginia resident, is charged with assaulting, resisting or impeding certain officers, obstruction of law enforcement, obstruction of Congress, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol Grounds, and entering or remaining in a restricted building without lawful authority.

Warnagiris, whose 18-year tenure in the Marines includes deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, faces a maximum possible sentence of 20 years in prison if convicted of the charges, which will be prosecuted in federal court in Washington.
Warnagiris currently is assigned to the training and education command of the Marine Air-Ground Task Force Staff Training Program at the Marine base in Quantico, Virginia, according to Marines.

A judge ordered Warnagiris released when he appeared Thursday afternoon in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.

In addition to Warnagiris, the more than 400 defendants in pending Capitol riot prosecutions include at least four other current service members: two Army Reserve soldiers and two members of the National Guard in different states. More than three dozen military veterans also have been arrested in such cases.

Court documents say that after Warnagiris violently entered the Capitol he positioned himself in the corner of the doorway and used his body to prop the door open and pull other rioters inside.

Video surveillance footage shows Warnagiris pushing a cop who tried to shut the door, according to a criminal complaint.
The Marine Corps, in a statement confirming that Warnagiris is on active duty, said, “The Marine Corps is clear on this: There is no place for racial hatred or extremism in the Marine Corps. Our strength is derived from the individual excellence of every Marine regardless of background. Bigotry and racial extremism run contrary to our core values.”

“Participation with hate or extremist groups of any kind is directly contradictory to the core values of honor, courage, and commitment that we stand for as Marines and isn’t tolerated by the Marine Corps,” the statement said.

“We expect every Marine to treat their fellow Marines with dignity and respect. Those who can’t value the contributions of others, regardless of background, are destructive to our culture, our warfighting ability, and have no place in our ranks.”
Warnagiris was identified by a member of the public on March 16 after that person saw three photos of a man who had entered the Capitol, according to the complaint.
Why is he not being tried by a military court? I guess I really don't know shit about it, but it doesn't look like he is.

My guess is the USMC is waiting for a civilian conviction, then they will court marshal the fucker and perhaps pile on other charges. This is not the end for this guy, he is guilty of the most serious crime a serving military officer can commit, insurrection is in a league with treason.

i told my buddy that awhile ago> the founding fathers set up our gov't under the assumption that potus and senate and house wouldn't all be anti-american.
Having a POTUS who was an obvious and blatant traitor and was blindly supported by the Republican senate, is not something any reasonable person could anticipate. Civil war 2 is being fought now, Trump was but one battle, this time it's a cold civil war, but the casualties are almost the same as the first one with 600,000 dead. That's why I call it a war, this ain't politics, you need good will and intentions on both sides for that. This is a straight up fight for the soul of the nation, a starkly simple struggle between good and evil. If the republicans win again, they will have to cheat and steal to do it, then you will have a real hot civil war and all bets will be off.

House Democrats and Republicans announced a deal on legislation Friday to establish a commission to investigate the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by a pro-Trump mob. The top members of the Homeland Security Committee agreed to a 10-member panel to study the “facts and circumstances … as well as the influencing factors” that provoked the attempted insurrection.

Meanwhile, House Republicans chose Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) to fill the leadership post recently occupied by Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.). In a statement, Stefanik said she would work to “save our country from the radical Socialist Democrat agenda” of Biden and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.).

Here’s what to know:
  • President Biden is seeking to put a spotlight on immigration policy Friday as he holds an Oval Office meeting with six beneficiaries of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program to discuss their experiences working in health care, education and agriculture during the pandemic.
  • Biden declared the country on the precipice of defeating a pandemic that has killed 580,000 Americans, damaged the economy and been the dominant issue of his presidency.
  • Under new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, vaccinated Americans can now mostly ditch their masks indoors. But not lawmakers on the House floor.
  • Biden urged motorists not to panic over a severe gasoline shortage in the Southeast and emphasized that a major pipeline would be restoring operations in the coming days. His comments were part of an effort to quell Republican criticism on an issue long fraught with political peril.
  • A Florida politician who is central to the investigation into Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) for possible sex trafficking of a minor signaled that he will plead guilty in his own federal case.

I'm sure the republicans went along after trying to weaken the commission to the point of uselessness. The longer they delay, the closer it will be to the 2022 election and act as kind of a "booster shot" for seditious immunity, as the events are replayed on TV. They have subpoena power too and I hope the DOJ will vigorously enforce it.

Indictments for Trump and company are taking far too long by any reasonable standards, like those who showed up at the capital, he should be awaiting trial for insurrection from inside a jail cell. Though I figure he will find his way into a jail or prison cell soon enough. The damage he's doing to the GOP is almost worth letting the fucker run around loose for a spell, a cell or an indictment (with a gag order) will silence him.

We will see. I don't really know how our justice system works well enough to know if it should already be done by now.

Garland has only had his top 2 people in place for 3 weeks. It is hard to know what has been slowed down by Trump trolls that he stuffed into jobs they were unqualified to do.

Entitled bitch complains that Trump lied to him.

“Yes he woke us up, but he led us to believe some great justice was upon us ... and it never happened,” Nordean wrote of Trump in the Telegram message, revealed by federal prosecutors this week. “Now I’ve got some of my good friends and myself facing jail time cuz we followed this guys lead and never questioned it.”

Nordean, who was arrested a week after posting the Telegram message, seemed to realize Trump would not be issuing pardons for him and fellow members of his violent gang.

“We are now and always have been on our own,” Nordean wrote. “So glad he was able to pardon a bunch of degenerates as his last move and shit on us on the way out.”

In April, bail was revoked for both Nordean and Biggs after federal prosecutors successfully argued the two men were central figures in planning the attack.

Trump, upon leaving office, relocated to his Florida country club.

“Fuck you Trump you left us on [t]he battlefield bloody and alone,” Nordean wrote on Trump’s last day in the White House.

I'd like him to explain what the "Great Justice" he thought he was helping Trump enact. I might even settle for less than the 20 years he's facing if he helps link Trump to it in exchange for a guilty plea to lesser charges.

Nordean and Biggs were main leaders of the fascist group, the Proud Boys that plagued Portland for years:

The Proud Boys, a self-described "Western chauvinist" organization, is considered a violent, nationalistic, Islamophobic, transphobic and misogynistic hate group, according to the Anti-Defamation League, a nonprofit organization that tracks extremist groups. Proud Boys members marched at the Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, and have organized against Black Lives Matter protests in recent months.

The group recently staged a rally in Portland, Oregon, in support of Trump. About 200 people, some armed with guns, attended the rally, short of the expectations of thousands.

Proud Boys organizer Joe Biggs also posted after the debate that he was "standing by," and he said the president "basically said to go f--- them up."
"President Trump told the proud boys to stand by because someone needs to deal with ANTIFA... well sir! we're ready!!" Biggs wrote.

The thing those people conveniently forget is, Antifa is and never has been their enemy, at least not in Portland. Antifa is and always has been about opposition to fascist leadership and cops in the Portland police force. Proud Boys and Trump made it into something larger. Trump lied, people died, Proud Boys cried.
