Male or Female

Hey everyone,

My first plant ever! I’m in Thailand and got a bag of weed along with some seeds so I thought I would try grow one myself. I made my own tent and purchased a Mars Hydro TS100 and it all seems to be working fine albeit at 31C and 50-65% humidity
It’s been 6 weeks already since planting the seed. I believe it’s a Sativa land strain as my wife acquired it from a family member deep in the jungle of northern Thailand. Can someone have a look at the attached photos and let me know your opinion on what sex the plant may be please? or is it too early to tell yet.
I’ll obviously be devastated if it’s male as I’ve put a lot of love and care into it so far. Thanks for any input

Oh dear that is unfortunate. Thanks for your opinion tho and I will wait for a few more replies just to be sure.
I should add it’s still early in Veg on a light schedule of 18/6. I thought it was a long way off from flowering yet.

They look male to me too but I'm new to growing as well. I don't see any litle tiny white hairs. Im sorry . see what other people say as well

It looks a little early to tell, but if I was putting money on it, I’d say it’s looking a lot like a male. You’ve got nothing to lose by switching to 12/12 for a week or two, and then you’ll know for sure.

Thanks, the LST has been my most enjoyable part so far. Having OCD helps a lot

It looks a little early to tell, but if I was putting money on it, I’d say it’s looking a lot like a male. You’ve got nothing to lose by switching to 12/12 for a week or two, and then you’ll know for sure.

Im no expert but I think it’s a wee bit too early also. I’ve been staring at those nodes for hours with inspection glasses and I’m not convinced. I was prodding with some tweezers at those pods and they seem to open up quite easily as if something is about to come out (secretly hoping it’s a white hair). I’ve attached a few more clearer photos.

I was also thinking about switching to 12/12 however I have another young plant in the tent and don’t want to mess it up. So I’ll leave things as is for a while until the bad news is certain

You know I think your right. What we’ve been looking at and assuming is the sex organ is in fact new leaf growth. This morning I got right in to the node with my microscope and today I can see something appearing behind the growth which I’m assuming is the real sex organ. This was not visible to me yesterday. I’ve attached some more photos with red arrows pointing to what I’m assuming is the sex organ in its very early stage of development.

lol yeah I couldn’t believe how small the preflowers were last week when I spotted my first ones.

I have zero experience but from what I’ve been reading that looks like a male. The main thing it said identifies them this early is the little stalk with the pod attached.

“Looks like a spade from a playing card”.
