Getting plants to get bigger what am I doing wrong?

Why aren’t any of my plant’s having a big stalk. I’m adding silica from begging nitrogen etc. I’ve seen videos where the guys say his plant is 4-6 was old there trunks are big as my wrist. I’ve been lucky to get pencils. But pretty buds these pictures are all the first 2 months.

Could be a plethera of reasons all the way from your growing medium to what strain your growing to your environment. All these things allong with many other will give you vigorous or slowed growth.

There could be a lot of reasons. Overall health will lead to the largest plants. Proper environment, feeding, lighting all factor into that.

Fresh potting soil. Using fox farms grow big used one dosage of tiger bloom then mixed up fox farms beastie blooms. I don’t know if I’m being impatient or what . I’m only 2 months into this grow. Started 3-13-21. Buds seem to be stack internet up nicely. The seed package from 0Aseeds says 65-70 days which is where I am now. I’ve scratched my head trying to figure it out. First grow in YEARS. I’m a professional pothead been smoking for 35 years or so. I remember growing plants several feet tall. Over 10. And I’m not using autoflower. Was afraid I was using too much light. 2 uf1000s and a 1200 watt 3x3 full spectrum during blooming.

I water there monitor moisture let it reach zero then water the next day. Use fox farms nutrients will trim the buds on these plants. Then they are going back into veg. For another round . This is my first grow in30 years. So I’m a little rusty. But it’s easier than before now.

What is your light schedule?
That 65-70 days is from switch to 12/12 hours from 4 to 8 weeks in veg with 18/6 to 24/0 light.

That’s probably the problem. I’m on a 12/12 for a while. First time growing in 35 years and got impetuous thought the 65-70 was entire length of the grow. I planted seed 3-13-21 and the strain is gorilla blue from OA seeds

Would def stay in veg a bit longer, autos tend to be smaller plants themselves anyways, maybe not the stalk but them in general. I would tone in your nute combos a bit more on the nitrogen side for vegging and stay in veg a bit longer. From seed on photo periods i usually veg about 6-8 weeks and end up at about 3-4' which increases by about 70% after the switch to 12-12. Also as someone said make sure your throwing a good genetic seed...thats gunna be a huge factor. LED's are good wouldnt worry about that too much. Unfortunately i dont grow in soil so im not sure about any info on soil nutes

Poorly grown autos tend to be small. There is a difference.
