My dog decided to knock over my plant last night! She was totally upside down! She is LST'd so when I turned it back around, the plant was not pretty... broken limbs and leaves and some of the roots were messed up too!!! poor baby! So I transplanted her into the final pot size 15 gallons, made a aloe vera soil drench and gave her about half a gallon maybe a little more, mostly around the center of the plant where roots would be and wet the rest of soil with water, then i made an aloe vera foliar spray and sprayed the leaves, then i took a cut piece of fresh aloe and rubbed it on the stem where branches were cut, this morning I noticed that my main stem was cracked in half long ways!!!! NOOOOO! so i put some clear package tape around it (all I had) and on the wounds! My question is do you think she will survive. Should i cut the other fan leaves that are messed up? She is still in veg, month 2 and is outside. She wont be ready til october. Any help would greatly be appreciated! please let me know what to do!

Tape is fine
I prefer paper tape you use to trim when painting but I have even used duct tape
The aloe is unnecessary as the stalk will repair itself and probably have a bump similar to a calcium buildup on a broken bone

Looks good from here
You did almost right.

Immediately tape the break. Drying out is your nemesis. I suggest electrical turnd sticky side out. It will stick to its self and is vinyl so it can stretch.
Add Popsicle stick or skewer for a splint if needed.
Caryy on as normal. Should be fine. A few extra days getting going again is all.

I would suggest removing the scotch tape in a couple days and replacing with electrical tape or plant tape if the stem is not yet solid. It will choke the stem if not.
