Plants wilting under growlight and I don't know why

Yeah, I might go ahead and take it down. I've actually read that a few places but a few other people argue it. I mean, it definitely makes sense. The entire bathroom is white besides the hardwood floor.
Other than some of the specialized reflective materials flat white paint is the best. I wouldn't worry about the bathtub. In fact why would you want anything on the bottom of it? That's a great runoff tray. You could get a roll of diamond mylar to cover the tile wall and ends. That shiny tile probably isn't all that great itself as a reflective material.

Good luck with your grow. :peace:

You changed your light environment multiple times and tried to go from indoor to outdoor with no attention to hardening off
At this point it is surprising they aren't dead

My advice is read more before trying anything
because "anything" isn't working
He went from window sill growing to a Mars Hydro indoor grow light.

OP plants are experiencing light stress. There is a huge difference between windowsill light and a grow light. The grow light is going to be much more intense and the plants are reacting to the sudden change in intense lighting by wilting. It's too much too quick. Increasing the height or reducing the intensity will help them better adjust to the change. GL.

keep your lights at their max height and at their max power. It won’t matter what the life cycle of the plant is. I keep my seedlings under their lights at 100% power never any issues ever. and they always stay hung at the same max height, as the plant grows it grows into the light at its own pace. No need to bring high powered LEDs closer.

what’s your watering schedule like?
How much water do you give them each time?
What else have you given them?

Yup. I did both and they immediately responded well. By today they are all back to normal. 40% brightness and raised 12" :D
For veg id go 50% at 2 ft. But thats my light maybe 3 ft. My light rate at 1 ft so l put at 100% at 1 ft for 12x12 and raise as needed. Find flower much more forgiving at 12 hrs of light, if l tried at 18 hrs plants freak out. So half power. DLI is a bitch to consider with leds easier with hps. How high is light now?

I know right. Just a newbie looking for help, not aggressive criticism. It is what it is. Buncha other good folks majorly helped me out. The ladies are doing great now :D
So all good now? Leds are hard to master, work with same light for a couple of crops as it help with learning curve. Youll do great.

Light is just about 25" at the moment. 40% brightness to let them return to normal from when I over did it. Figured I'd try 50% for a couple hours tomorrow and see if they're braced for that yet. Only reason I jumped right into 18/6 instead of doing it slower over time was because I felt I was kind of late with them (have a friend doing several outside and they are significantly larger) didn't realize the 18 would be such a large jump in light! Newbie mistake. But a learning one :wall:

A good attitude will take you far. Ive been growing on and off for 37 years, always 1 light grows, lm still learning.

I’m confused at how and why everyone else’s plants freak out at high power? Never had this issue ever under 650w lm301h 6 bar lights.
I'm thinking it's because I started mine at such weak lighting. The first week in the window sill was 60-70° days and half of them were overcast. The last two were pretty good sunlight but several days of overcast (max 6-7 hours of direct sunlight through the screen).
