So we are 28 days in, autoflower, receiving about 14 hours of daylight but direct sun 10-4pm. How are they looking? My pH is 6.5, nutrients balanced...began using a foliage booster from foxfarm. I've seen indoor plants at the same stage as mine and, wow, HUGE DIFFERENCE...can't wait til my kit arrives! But, can some old timers and enthusiasts gimme a look and let me know how I'm doing!!!

Overall they look fine. Nice color. First pic looks slightly overwatered. Don't need to water real heavy until they get some size and good root development. Keep it simple with a balanced nutrient regimen and you should be good. Cheers.

Thank you! It's so hard to gauge watering outside in those big drums...lol. I've been starting on the outside and circled around til I'm about 1/4" from seedling. It all ends up watered, not saturated, aaaa nnddddd then it rains. They droop a little over the night and perk up, literally their first glimpse of SUNSHINE.

SO...when I water them I stick my finger in the dirt to see saturation and it, MOST times, comes out clean, or not too sticky enough to hold onto much soil. Is there a better way to gauge outdoor grows need for H20? I know I've fucked some of my practice seedlings from germination on, but the watering for me has been a real trial.

It just looked slightly overwatered. Sounds like you have a solid method to gauge wetness. Fabric pots are useful outdoors as they are harder to overwater even when it rains. Cheers.
