Just posting some pics of my first grow. Seems to be progressing. Need to start figuring out whats next. Autos. More photo period. Maybe get some clones. Pretty cool helping nurture these ladies thru the stages so far!

Looks healthy!

I've never done autos. I prefer to keep mothers and have more control over the plants with photos. Personal preference.

Test out different things and find what you like.

Good luck! Peace:peace:

Looks nice!

That's a BIG question.
Post a grow journal - your thoughts along the way will point you in the right direction.

DEEP Rabbit hole - have fun!
For me - I started out just to get cheap smoke & good meds for me & mine and it turned into a Covid hobby.
Now, I'm in multiple tents on a strain preservation seed run (Herijuana) - having a lot of fun, so if it works I can safely say the breeding bug has bitten me.

Looks good. Autos dont give much flexibility for training. I would always stick with photoperiod seeds. Im tempted to get some reg seeds and waste a season or two breeding two strong phenos for myself and friends. Seems like the industry moves away from things i like about the plant.

Agreed. Easy to fault the industry too - hybridisation only for size / speed / potency followed by harvesting in early ripeness (at best), instead of waiting for full ripeness. Flavors, aromas & effects are muted and homogenous - very few true INDICA or true SATIVA effects anymore.
Seems like body effect weed is non-existent anymore - it's all the same, vaguely relaxing high. What happened to HEAVY limbs and giggles, or contemplative, write a novel while hiking effects?

I want funky, skunky terps. Hoping to get my hands on Road Kill Skunk or similar. Cheese would be another one worth getting.
My current grow smelled horrific until a few days ago - like a used baby diaper set on fire and put out with dirty bong water. (Glad that changed)

The Strawberry Kush I'm smoking through now has some good, strong aromas - I opened a small jar during a poker game last week while no one was looking; they ALL were looking in a few seconds - it's DANK. :bigjoint:

Try that with dispo/industry weed...

Yeah i think thats kind of a perfect explanation of why keeping those older genetics is important.
Some of us who have loved this plant for a long time also appreciate different effects and aromas that are being bred out. like sativas are heady and can cause anxiety…just smoke less of it… dont breed it out…too much sweet stuff out there i think…
