First Time Pressing Was a Disaster. Any Tips?

Just got a 12 ton Dabpress with 4x7 plates. I read up pretty well and watched a lot of videos so I thought it would be smooth sailing. I had exactly 20 grams of bubble hash I made a couple of months ago so I put it in a 3"x6" 37 micron bag. Folded the 37 micron bag a couple of times because the Bubble hash only filled about 25% of the bag. Then I put the 37 micron bag into a 160 micron bag and folded it over.

Then I loaded my wax paper and began to press at 180 degrees F. I went slow and let the plates heat the hash for around 30 seconds to a minute before I started to apply real pressure. Everything seemed to be going well for the first 2 minutes. Then about 2min 30 seconds in to pressing at about 500psi I noticed that rosin was oozing out the side of the plates all onto the press. Made a huge mess!

I have read up and always watched videos to prevent blowout but never have I seen someone even mention rosin coming out the sides of the plates. I read that I should be able to load 80+ grams of bubble hash on my 4x7 plates easily. I also only got 9 grams return which is only 45% return. Probably lost a gram all over my Dabpress.

So what did I do that caused the rosin to come out the sides and how do I prevent it from happening again?

Yea, Its very hard to find any type of Rosin forum or community to answer questions online. But I did watch a few more videos today and saw people using that technique. I'm going to try that out next press but for the amount im going to be pressing, this technique will be tedious.

I see plenty of videos where people dont fold like that and dont get anything oozing out the sides.

i have that same press and i love it.
i use oil slick 8.5x14" silicone paper. amazon sells it.
fold it in half then a little fold up on the left where the wires go in and the rest turned up on the right side.

Then I loaded my wax paper

Use parchment paper not wax
