Hi short xplination-

Got mites twice, first time I ever had any bug, because I took them outside on the roof for some sun for a few weeks.

Towards the end, I saw webs and I thought they were spiders towards the end of grow not horrible. Second-time webs everywhere right after veg. Ate out all the nutes 4 lbs of weed turned into 6 oz. I thought I killed them at 1st bud, but IDK if I missed some, obviously.

Anyhow after the piss poor grow. I dried out the room with nothing in it, shot poison over everything 3,4 times, bleach and water everything in between.

New grow no bugs UNTILL 3rd week of flowering, now I shot with multiple poisons and am almost done growing it all. I have a window fan in there on the second story for a bit, maybe they blew in?

When the room is empty how do I kill these things for good? I've got 2 tents, a flood table and a DWC system in the other, are they in the folds of the tent or under the table?

So what can I use or try with no plants to harm in there to get rid of these mothers?

I had mites. I had everything! I never knew I had mites until I got the loupe. I thought the web was "something else".

For the mite infestations I used Forbid 4f. After about three days I still noticed mites so I ordered then nuked the plants again with Avid. These chemicals are expensive, but work.

I think the Forbid 4f worked but the infestation was so bad it took a few days for the bug cycle to end. I panicked into the second treatment.

I also switched soil from FFOF to PM HP. I can't prove/disprove the bugs came from FFOF.

I feel your pain, mites are no fun.

Even if you kill every mite inside, they can and will hitchhike indoors to the weed garden on your clothes, your dog, your cat, clones from outdoor plants, grow containers, etc. Mites love to recolonize and don't care about what you did to the last mites.

Good rule of thumb in warm weather is to shower and change clothes if you've been outside before tending indoor plants.
I arrange my schedule so I tend the indoor garden in the very early morning and in the evening, it can be a pain in the ass, but it does reduce the mite problems. I don't do "show and tell" tours of the indoor garden for people who've been outside , and I yell at the outdoor cat if it even goes near the plants, etc. Any houseplants that have mites should be purged...when your wife isn't home... tell her the cat knocked it over.

It also helps once you've cleaned and there are no signs of mites, to clean and spray plants pre-emptively on a regular basis. Spray under the leaves, the tops of leaves, the stalk and the branches. Spray or clean any stakes or netting too. Mites love slackers, don't be a slacker. Extra credit if you wipe containers, walls, floors, fans and lights down.

Keep in mind some formulations will kill mites but burn your plants if you're not careful especially if you spray and leave them under lights etc.
Sulfur and neem are helpful in veg. I wouldn't use either in flower. BOTH will burn plants if you're not careful.

Citric acid and trifecta have worked for me recently in flower and don't seem to leave any residue. Some plants pistils seem to turn prematurely brown when sprayed, and buds can appear ready to harvest when they aren't.

Some of you guys sure are quick to use poison around your plants. I wouldn't use any of that stuff especially things that contain systemic insecticides like spiromesifen and abamectin. Research the active ingredients of the products you use before using them on your plants that you will be consuming.

Citric acid kills the bugs without being a poison. Sesame oil is also a good preventative and completely safe to use as well.

Hot shot no pest strips guaranteed to kill them mites.
Yeah, but how much do you value your liver?

Really those no pest strips generate a vapor that will penetrate every nook and cranny and kill everything in a sealed environment. They will even kill bugs in an open environment like a barn.

They will also destroy your liver if you are in that environment.

So if you choose to use them number one seal up your room and then get the f*** out of it for a couple of days while it does its magic. Then make sure you have damn fine ventilation to exhaust that room before you spend any time in it whatsoever.

I didn't advise the OP to wear the strips as a mask
I've used the strips before in my bedroom where I had my tent and made sure to air out the room before I slept in it, that was over 10 years ago, and I would use it again if I have to.

OP gave us the motivator. "4 lbs of weed turned into 6 oz "

Mites are from the invisible world. Once a person finally sees webs the plants have been infested for quite some time.

I'm just saying that there are non-toxic ways to get rid of and prevent mites. Poisons do not need to be used. That goes for eliminating them on plants and in grow areas.

LOL, I bought a strip and moved it in between the tents the second grow, when I first saw webs. I musta got a dud. fifth-week webs.

I'm not going outside/inside, no pets. The only thing is the air exchanger. But I ran it for a year, no mites at all.

I don't give a crap if it's radioactive-the tents will be the only thing in there, plant-free. I'm not losing 1/2 to 7/8ths of my crop again!

I also read once you see webs-you are done, You won't get rid of them, true?
