Seed Storage Question

My room is roughly 85-88 as Im dealing with seedlings and leaving my window open. Are my seeds in danger of losing potency or anything. RH is 55-60 but in the drawer I have them tucked away in probably not that humid.

They will last longer in cooler, drier conditions.

True, guess Ill just move em till my plants are out the seedling stage. I just hate not having shit in my room. Whats your opinion on a week or two then temps around 73-77? Still gonna move them, just gauging the potential damage from the few days my room has been like this.

Keep mine in ziplock in fridge if we are talking seeds and not seedlings
Yea seeds. I kniw the best way to store them, my rooms usually fine for storage. Just gauging if I damaged my seeds from a few days of it being kinda hotish. Only 86 max in my tent under a light, so prolly not too bad in my drawer on the other side of the room

I keep my seeds in an opaque container with a large moisture absorbing silica gel pack in the refrigerator.
I guess what Im asking is, do you think a few days of it being 83-85 degrees hurt the seeds. I mean Ill find out eventually. Just looking for that specific answer.

It's a matter of probabilities. The more the seeds are exposed to unfavorable conditions, the less likely they will be to germinate in the long run. That's as specific as I can get. I bet there are scientific journal articles where experiments were done to determine the germination rates of seeds stored in various conditions, but I haven't read any of them.

Forsure, I moved them to the basement so theyll be good till my room has a decent temp.

I have a bunch for next season just put them in pill bottle inside a bag and then put that in a mini fridge. From what i gather that's the way to go for anything over like 6 months

Thats a good idea actually, I have them all in bags they came in besides my GDP seeds. They came in this little plastic tube

i use glass test tubes with screw on caps, i label them and put them in a cardboard box then they go into the fridge and are only taken out when i need to germinate them. i had 100% germ rate with my 1-2 year old seeds.
