co2 with barbecue and matador controller?

Is it possible to turn a small portable propane barbecue and monitor it with a matador co2 controller, and imean manually controll the co2. the burners are like 400 and a portable barbecue is 40 since they are both burning propane and emmiting co2 i was thinking of monitoring the co2 with a matador digital controller meter i could manually shut of the barbecue at 1200 ppm and thus i could run it in a different room and have an intake out of that room towards the flowering room that way heat is avoided????????????

You will also need an 02 sensor and a co detector. You could very well kill yourself from carbon monoxide poisoning or asphyxiation.

i read this is another forum a guy was using a matador co2 monitor with a potable barbecue just wondering if anyone has herd of anything like this? i use blue ox 6 burner

i only ask becasue the burner is just burning propane? possibly temp differences but wanted to c if this is true i guess noone has any imput that is relevant other then calling people names.

The problem is that propane only produces CO2 when burned cleanly.

BBQ grills are not known for a "clean burn". If you are seeing more than just the tips of the flame are yellow (not blue), or any green, you are producing poisonous carbon monoxide or other dangerous emissions.

The production of co2 is directly correlated to the ratio of propane to oxygen. Unless you can reliably control this, you will produce CO.

Now, since the 02 is being burned along with the propane, you will need to have an adequate supply of incoming o2. Since you can't measure the amount of o2, you will need to provide plenty of ventilation, which will be counterproductive to your co2 generation.

As soon as you reach critical levels of oxygen, you will begin to become asphyxiated, your roots may suffer from such also, and you will begin to produce deadly CO.

Your generator has both o2 and co sensors built into it, as well as the ability to precisely control the burn for optimal co2 production. A BBQ grill simply does not.

(not to mention the fire hazard)

Would you consider that relevant?

thus why they call them blue ox burners cause they burn clean blue ok thanks for the info

i run a blue ox 6 burner with matador comp lol but i read this online and one of my friends think it would work i had my doubts.
