Trellis Tunnel For Cucumbers!

Assembled this with some stakes, zip ties, ld fencing I had laying around the yard!




It definitely feels nice to walk through!
Don’t pick on the overgrowth and lack of landscaping around it. Haven’t gotten to it yet

Your a brave man growing cucumbers beside weed.Cucumbers can get PM so easily and will spread. Looks good though.

Watch out, that thing will be overgrown in no time. I did something similar with a 16 ft cattle panel and a couple fence posts

Outdoor gardening is still new to me so I will definitely consider this info! Thank you.
I have been pretty meticulous with ladies tho and they are in separate sections where the soil doesn’t mix. Not sure if that matters tho. Next year imma keep them separate bc them 2 really took over my bed. The bed is 10.5’ x 5 and the trellis is 7’

Just keep an eagle eye on those cucumbers. It spreads in the wind so by the time you see it on the cucumber it’s already down wind.

Also I’ll add that spraying water on the cucumber leaves will also spread it. So don’t water with a sprinkler.

Also dont touch the cukes then the girls.You may be ok not all cukes get it but most like zucchini plants will get it.

I spray for it,sulphur will help stop it from appearing.Its one of those things that you can prevent it but once you have it your done.

I will second everything Myke says.
Cukes are notorious for PM and it spreads quick.

Lawn is cut,I dont see piles of junk laying around like most others.You put effort into it.Clean well kept yards are a lot of work.

I haven't made any myself yet but I will be very soon. I currently spray potassium silicate which works pretty good itself at preventing PM. But I'm going to be using the JADAM JS especially on my fruit trees. I'm hoping it will be effective against peach leaf curl which I've been battling for years. Typical remedies include copper sulfate but I don't like spraying copper in the yard. I'll find out next spring if the JS is effective at preventing PLC. I'll be doing my winter sprays with just the JS.

pulled the cucumbers away a bit and will keep doing so.
They really seem to enjoy the trellis tunnel tho!
Which is good bc I do too
