Help! What's wrong with my plant?

First time outdoor grower here with concerns: suddenly I'm getting yellowing unhealthy looking leaves in some places on my plant, and not just the old ones at the bottom/interior. Can someone please identify what is going on?problem1.jpg

I would say it’s very hungry. Probably a nitrogen deficiency. What soil is it in ? What fertilizers are you using? Are you adjusting water ph?

I wondered about nitrogen deficiency. I feed with the Advanced Nutrients trio...but we had a lot of rain here lately so less feedings than usual the past two weeks. It's in a mix of Promix HP, worm castings, and some compost...but it's been in that 50 gallon planter since late May so may have spent the readily available nitrogen in there.

Thanks for the replies...I really appreciate it. I got it this far, would hate to falter now. No rain this week so I will be feeding with nutes every day...hopefully that makes her happy again.

With Pro mix hp you need to water till runoff and if you do it will hold water well. I would not feed and water everyday day. Focus more on how much you give it. I would start at 25-50 percent and feed and water twice to three times a week.

Thanks for the further tip...I guess I was not quite sure about watering amount/frequency with the hybrid mix of Promix and the castings/compost I used...I definitely don't water heavily when I do water...just 4L at a time (it wasn't a problem before the plant was smaller, more nutes in the soil then ect). I guess I should have known this big(ish) plant would work through the nitrogen in the soil and get hungrier. Another lesson learned on my first attempt at doing this.

One more question: how long do you figure it will take for my plant to get nice and green again with bigger feedings with nute water? I will be patient, of course: I know I can't just suddenly up the nute concentration and risk burn. I also plan to top dress with a bag of worm castings as a hedge against this problem going forward, as I know it's a gentle way to add more nitrogen to the pot with no burn risk.
