That Shit Box Jeep Will Never Die

Yeah mine was the dark blue and we never had a top lol

Man you put a 22re and drivetrain from a Toyota pu and that thing is sick. I know someone that has one like that.

I also had a 4d hardtop Geo tracker. Had 31's on it and that thing was surprising for what it could do. Built a 2d soft top on 33's for a friend. That thing was pretty unstoppable in the rocks and woods.
Do you adjust the final drive ratio to power big wheels?

I've seen Sammy's with the 4BT Cummins swap, now that's a sweet setup. I used to cruise through the woods in my uncles Samurai named Tigger. Definitely lived up to its name, about as comfortable as a skid steer

That's a good transplant :blsmoke:

All of the above  Fuck that thing, felt like you spent the day getting kicked in the balls. It would climb just about anything, with a big enough head start. But being so short and narrow, it always felt like it was ready to roll. Stability on the technical trails would really pucker the butt hole.
You need one of those 300 pound guys made almost entirely of shoulder who assist from outside.

To be fair, I'm 6'2", so comfort isn't really possible in that little bastard. Tin tops look better, but soft tops are easier on the top of your head when you're bouncing around. I wanna say I dropped the air pressure to about 15lbs to help with the problem. Set of coil overs would have made a world of difference.
I like more open trails where you can carry some speed. I used to have a ZR2, and she liked to stretch her legs. I'm always on the lookout for another. That was one tough and capable rig. Jumped it 6' in the air, drove through creeks in water about 3' deep, and repeatedly beat the living hell out of it everyday and night for 4 years. Only thing she ever said was "more throttle"

most us car users have been forced to comprimize and moved to the larger asian models
Yeah. Having to go to the shop every three months is a PITA. I have a 2002 Altima 3.5 (prior to the useless auto tranny) and a 2011 Camry 3.5. I prefer driving the Altima. Its 4 speed box is much more responsive than the Camry's 6-speed.

How do they compare on fuel use/mileage?
