Tube flourecents

Ok can i just use like 40watt flourecents that you can buy from wallmart?
All that wiring shit together for CFLs is too fucking complicated for my ass,
i need simple 1,2,3 get this n that etc.
How many 40watts would i need to veg 5 plants up to a foot? :cry::confused:

I'd get 3 minimum. The problem is the tubes they come with are usually coolwhites (4100 K) You want 6500 K (Daylight) If you can't find them then get Grolux tubes (they ain't cheap, but will really make your plants grow) If those aren't available then get warm white and a extra light (total of 4)

Sweet, ok this little grow box thing is 1ft 8.5'' tall and 1ft 10.5'' long.
I should be able to veg for bout 6'' in here right?
I would take an actual pic but its not put together yet ;p

You can veg till they're almost touching the tubes (like 1/2 inch away) whatever that total with the pot is.

dude check out my grow i used flouro's thru the entire thing i'm only a month into flowering and i have to say with what i spent i'm impressed

3 tubes would be plenty.

To Veg with you need Cool White.

I agree that the Gro Lux work extremely well. 3 grolux, you could do 10 plants 3 feet, easily.

I would suggest the 3 flourescent bulb setup and then switch to HPS to flower, why only go a foot tall ? Is that all you plan on veg'ing for ? Going for the minimum ?

I use two 48" shop light fixtures with 2 bulbs each. I use one daybulb and one grow bulb in each fixture. The shop lights cost $9.49 each at lowes then you'll have to buy the bulbs. I get a two pack of each. I use this light set up for veg only in a 2'x5'x8' closet. I have used it all the way before, but i'd rather use my 400w hps for flowering. WAY better results.

Well i got 2 plants almost a foot now, and im gonna keep veggin them
till my other seeds get here and i veg THEM out a little.
I only have a 400watt hps, i might veg new grow 2ft though :?
