Yo Dazed, I'm from Canada.. And sure it sometimes goes down like that.. Other times it doesn't.. My uncle lost a leg because of diabetes.. If he hadn't been waiting to get a toe amputated for more than 2.5 years, he would have lost only a toe.. Sure its anecdotal, but there are thousands of similar anecdotes..
And GrowTech is right about the tendency for doctors to go south.. Same (if not moreso for nurses)..

All that would do is give Canadian's a cause to discuss at the water cooler.. There are lots of similar stories that hit the news.. Doesn't exactly compell ppl to want to pay more to get more..

These 48 hour notices are only for houses that have been flagged under that city/hydro safety commision..
Every now and then the cops will show their muscle in BC, but the rest of the time they ignore what they can like they do when somebody drives a couple mph above the speed limit..
The only thing different in this story than typical scenarios is that rather than forwarding suspicious hydro bills directly to the police and allow them to investigate and obtain search warrants as they see fit, a non-police body is involved with an inspection.. I'm actually not even sure if all cases are handled this way, or if they forward certain bills along to the LEO's old-school style..

Rotfeast, if you live 20min away from the border (on the Canadian side) then the smartest thing would be to pretend like american weed didn't even exist.. Even if the bordering state has possession laws as lax as Canada's non-existent laws, any trial across borders is bound to be grueling..

canada has always been the shit. seriously id be there now if i could. forests and no gangs... lol

No Doubt!! It would have to stay at 75 or 80, and have a beach within a 30 min drive from anywhere tho.................................As for the Gangs, I got THAT prob covered. I deal with "the Dope Boys" daily in my real job as a window tinter, most of 'em are gang related, and are absolutely convinced that I am well armed, well trained, certifiably crazy and don't give a FUCK!!! I made a believer out of one a couple years ago, and word spread to leave me the fuck alone.
I also have a big bad wolf!!! LOL

vancouver is know for its lack growing laws there is a reason they call it vanmsterdam. Although we did have a place where you could just buy any of 50 types of weed but the lines got so long that other businesses on commercial drive called the cops to close it down , but arond the corner from the amsterdam caffee there is a little shop that has all sorts of goodies.

haha Fdd, my place doesn't look like that right now.. It looks like ultra-winter outside.. Temps aren't much lower than normal, but we got a really early signifigant dumping (couple more feet of snow expected today too).. Its Freakin beautiful to look outside at all the clean fluffy snow thats dressing ANYTHING it would kling to.. Yesterday snowflakes were probably bigger than I've ever seen.. Some single flakes more than 2" across! And ontop of that, the warmth/wetness was causing alot to bunch up as they fell so there were more than a few fluffy snow-balls falling from the sky.. (Big enough to be REALLY annoying when they plop on ya, and melt down your back like when you bump into a snowy branch..)
