How do i use fox farm nutrients in co co

Start at 1/4 strength, see how they react. Then adust as needed. Fox Farm is really strong see how your girls react. If the tips of the leaves start to burn that's too much. Each strain can handle a different amount of nutrients. Papaya from Nirvana tolerated 3 teaspoons per gallon of tiger bloom, but the king chem I'm doing now Burns at 1 per gallon. This is an art but your girls will tell you what they can handle, listen to them and you will be fine

I water when the pots feel light, use your pinky to pick up the pot and tilt it over. You'll get a real good feel for when they are dry and when they're wet. Only water when they are dry. Dry Coco fiber is a good thing, in moderation. You do not want a plant that is dehydrated, but a little bit of stress is a good thing in horticulture.

Yes I am saying you can't overwater a plant in coco as long as the root system is established. A small seedling can be overwatered or a small plant in a very large container - but not an established plant. Coco still retains 30% oxygen even when saturated - and even more if it is amended with perlite. I start in a solo and feed everyday by the end of the first week, transplant to a larger container and feed everyday after a few days. Once established I feed twice a day for the life of the plant.

Drain to waste. Right now I'm doing a scrog with 4 plants - I use hydro halos that I attach to tubing and a funnel to feed twice a day. Drippers would be less work but I enjoy it. I don't want to hijack this guys thread - PM me if you want to discuss.

hey i know im a few years late but im growing in coco and i was not aware you are supposed to feed every day. i water them using distilled water twice then the third watering i use nutrient water. do you have any advice? should i water everyday and saturate the pot? and if i do water wveryday do i use nutrients? lastly when do i know to flush the nutrients with regular water?

What size pot are they in and how old?
A small seedling in a large pot is the only time overwatering poses a problem.
A plant with established roots cannot be overwatered in coco.
Never give plain water........ever.
Never let the coco get dry.
Feed daily to substantial run off.
I don't flush.

they are about 5 months old, crazy right? im growing indoors and my morher and I started gardening/growing numerous plants and we had pretty low power lights originally but now theyre starting to get pretty big. theyre in 1 gallon pots currently or maybe 2? but regardless their roots are wrapping around the pot very nicely and i think itll soon be time for a 5 gallon pot transplant.

hey i created bigger drainage holes by using a drill and im maintaining the coco constantly moist but my leaves are curling down now. did i perhaps use too much water?

i also did the nutrient water thing u said, no more plain water. im afraid that ill give them nitrogen toxicity this way though. however i have been using like 1/3rd of the nutrients the bottle says to use because originally it was burning them and then i realized its because it was in soil. now theyre in coco. im using fox farm nutes btw. many thanks
