I have two 1000 watts hps lights but they are too hard to control inside tent it’s getting way to hot so I’m looking to switch what’s the best lights to buy ?
What’s the best lights to grow with led or hps ?

When you say room size i have a 5by 5 grow tent that’s what I’m using currently and just looking to invest in some good lights that can last me

For $600 I would probably recommend some HLG QB 96'6 and a couple drivers. Lots of options.

I've got lots of HLG lights. I haven't used my QB96's yet. They're still in a box. Lots here love them though. If you had a bigger budget I'd recommend something else. You could order from China, but that's not for me.

the ones that i have are air cool but they are still running too hot so I’m over them just wanna but some new easier lights to control

So you have two 1000 watt HPS lights in a 5 by 5. Yeah that’ll get hot even with air cooling. Lots of great LEDs to choose from. HLG is probably the best for quality and warranty. Lots of folks use lower priced “knock-off” boards though. Almost too many choices these days.

You're not really supposed to dim HID lights. It changes the spectrum and I've heard it's harsher on the bulbs.
Then you need a larger fan. For 1000 w I run an 8" Max Can Fan. I don't find any difference between my 600 W air cooled and a 485 W LED. I use a 6" Max Can for that.
I dim and the plants haven't reported me. Optimally I'm sure you're right but we fuck up so many other things. Essentially I can't imagine using 2000 W over my 5x5 table. Oh well

Forgot about that one … solid choice . Really jonesing about that spectrum x . Kids finally leaving ( again ) so that is on my short list for a room.
